Go Gators! I had my tour last week and I liked Gainesville more than I thought I would. I also received a mini-scholarship from UF today which made me ecstatic. Every little bit helps. I also sent the E-Mail withdrawing from FSU. I almost cried. I HATE telling a school I decided to go somewhere else. Now I am going to spend the next few weeks looking for housing. If you have an inside scoop let me know!

It looks like I am going to UF! I am keeping on at FSU however for the next few days, until I get a chance to go tour UF Gainesville, which I should be doing very soon. I only got a chance to skim through the campus and city so I'd like to take a deeper look, and if I find it completely hideous I still have FSU going for me, and I /know/ I like Tally and their campus.

I got an e-mail from Chapman today suggesting that I submit a LOR from a professor.
So, I called them and I was like 'uhm.. one of mine is from a professor. He taught me for four years and is the head of the program I got my degree in.'
and they were like 'oh.' I guess they don't get many voice majors and assumed he was just some dude who taught me voice lessons?

Sorry to see the WL at GMU... did you apply FT only? Or FT/PT? Possible to be reconsidered for the other program? It was mildly hinted to me that my GPA sucked (for FT), though -- who knows what would've happened if I only applied FT...

You can always transfer from PT to FT after the first year (and if there's room, after the first semester, from what I've heard). Of course, you might lose part of the summer -- I'm not sure how that'll factor into job recruitment...

When you say you fudged your numbers to protect the innocent, what did that mean? I'm asking b/c Florida is really hard to get in, but I noticed you had a 3.1, although your LSAT was pretty awesome. Just curious, my gpa isn't great, I haven't got my lsat yet but I have lots of things I've done, volunteer, work, internship, etc.

Yeah, I'm retaking the lsat prep and the lsat in dec. So we'll see.
I interned in Pinellas County. But I wouldn't mind getting a job in either Pinellas, Hillsborough, Pasco, or Polk - SAO or PD for some more experience.
