Additional info & updates

Complete date is date of LSDAS report transmission-I'm considering this complete because all my scores and LOR's are included.

Scholarship $$ is total for 3 years, assuming all renewal req's are met (ex. Temple-1st year only)

3-16-07 And we're done! The cycle went as expected...except that I thought Hastings would be iffy. Unfortunately, some unusual soft factors were not enough for Penn, Boalt, or Stanford. But I am glad I gave it a shot.

Now to decide. Ugh

3-26-07 Withdrew from CA schools. Unfortunately, the job my husband was going for did not work out (lack of relocation money). Had a little tear in my eye as my Bay Area dreams slipped away for 3 more years in Philly. Oh well.

Still undecided, but Temple and Drexel are neck and neck. I don't love the area that Rutgers is in, and so far I just don't get a gut feeling that I'd like Villanova as much as T or D. Probably going to Villanova's ASD on Saturday, which might change that, but we'll see. Drexel has nicely given me a 5 day extension so I can have time after Saturday to decide.

Did you receive an official acceptance from Drexel? I got an email today saying, "now that you've been accepted..." but it was news to me. Just curious...

I got the same email. Aparently it was sent out before the acceptance packets. Are you going to visit for AS day in March?

Numbers twin (almost)
Monday, February 26 2007 at 07:07 PM

So we are almost numbers twins, except you definitely have me beat on the LSAT. I applied to several of the same schools as you. Congrats on all your acceptances so far and good luck with the rest!

Nice cycle

Hey, congrats on your cycle. Which school are you leaning towards? Are you coming to the accepted students day at temple on the 24th?

Sunday, March 18 2007 at 09:19 AM

Hey, I'll definitely be at Temple ASW. I was also at the Drexel admitted students week. I was impressed. Were you the one who brought your husband to the event? I was sitting next to a couple and the husband was the one who said "I didn't kill anyone today" when asked in the mock class what laws he followed. In any case, see you at Temple!

Based on the previous post, I think I was sitting behind you guys on the bus. Too bad we didn't get a chance to talk more. I agree with you, I don't think Drexel's accreditation status is hurting the students at all. And I hadn't previously thought of the fact that despite the lack of prior graduates to establish a base of networking - Philadelphia is crawling with Drexel undergrads, business school grads, etc.. Congrats on your fantastic offers! I wish you the best of luck, wherever you decide to attend.

Nice meeting you

Hey it was nice meeting you today. Good luck in your choice between Temple and Drexel. Hope to see you at Temple next year. I made it official today!

Temple vs Drexel
Monday, March 26 2007 at 06:37 AM

Hi - I saw that you are also trying to decide between Temple and Drexel, and made it to both of their ASWs. Unfortunately I couldn't make it to either due to a wedding, so I'm really interested to hear your thoughts on both of the schools. Thanks!

drexel v. TU v. RU
Friday, March 30 2007 at 12:24 PM

there are a lot of things to consider, TU has one of the best trial programs in the US, RU has a very strong writing program - Drexel is very focused on CO-OP so if you don't plan on taking advantage of it. . .also Drexel isn't ABA approved (although word around Philly is that they'll have no problem getting accredited) - good luck, if you're b/t TU or Drexel, i would pick TU

You Can Always Transfer/Visit

If your husband's job transfer REmaterializes, you can always transfer/visit in the Bay Area! Good luck.

Congratulations on your acceptances. It looks like you have a difficult decision to make soon. I'm a current Drexel Law student who had similar options last year. If you have any last minute questions that you would like to ask a current student please send me an email.
