I actually had an on campus session with the very nice recruiting representative from there. I was told they would look at my file and yesterday I talked on the phone with her and she told me I had been accepted.

Thanks guys

Thanks guys, it feels good to have an acceptance under your belt. For Drexel, I received a letter in the mail saying I was complete. Fordham I actually put complete prematurely, because I really just submitted all my things at once. However, for their non-binding early action program, the file will be deemed complete before October 15th. It is good to be done all of my apps! Let me know if you have any questions...maybe I can help :)

Congratulations

What do you think about Drexel? I predict their IP Law program will soon be one of the better programs. Also, the co-op program sounds like a great way to study and get excellent work experience. Obviously you will have to wait and see what other offers come in, but is Drexel really a school you are considering, or did you just apply because the app is free?

Waiting on my decisions.

Just waiting and waiting on my schools to get back to me. I actually applied to Drexel because my g/f and I are both from Philadelphia area and she is interested in moving back east. I liked the idea of going to a new school and being a trail blazer. It will be interesting to see how the school shapes out and where it is eventually ranked. Philly has a lot of great law schools in the area. I have a few friends who went to Fordham Law. They both work corporate now. New York is so much fun, I don't think I could get very much studying done there...

congrats

Thanks. You're not doing too bad yourself. Sorry about Georgetown, but you seem to being doing pretty well besides that. Congrats on the scholarships, you look like you will have some good choices for next year.

haha

I have no idea what my first choice is, way too much to hear back from, scholarships and stuff. What about you? I thought that you put that title. I thought that it was a strange title, but that you just had an eclectic personality. Apparently he's just kind of a dick.

Temple

Visit to Temple & Drexel
Wednesday, August 16 2006 at 08:00 PM

Went back east for the holidays and had a great visit to the Temple, Penn, & Drexel campuses. Temple is really great for the money and the quality of education. Came away very impressed. Same for Drexel. Their new building is awesome (looking and technologically). Any preferences so far?

Thanks for the condolences, but hopefully you'll have a better outcome than I did! Are you going to Temple's Accepted Student Day later this month?

Good luck to you too!

Congrats on being accepted to some great schools. Villanova is such a reach for me of course; I actually applied before my LSAT score came in since I took the February administration of the test. Otherwise, I wouldn't have wasted the application money! But good for you for getting in. :)

Drexel/Temple
Tuesday, January 02 2007 at 07:00 PM

Thanks and same to you! Now that Penn is not an option, I'm waffling between Drexel and Temple. My husband's possible job in SF fell through, so the CA schools will be withdrawn from soon. Villanova could become a factor depending on the financial aid, which I'll hopefully get soon. I am coming this Saturday to Temple's ASW...I really like several aspects of the school, but I am out of state in DE (by 1 mile) so the money offer at Drexel is far far superior. I had to go back to Temple even to get the 12 grand for 1 year, so I don't think there is any hope of raising that by negotiating more! I was very impressed at Drexel's ASW and the students I met are getting good summer opps. even though it is the new kid on the block. And since I'm not sure what kind of law I want to practice, the idea of no debt is tempting. It will be a hard decision!

guilty!
Tuesday, January 02 2007 at 07:00 PM

Yes, that was us. I think Drexel wants my husband to come now more than me! I made him come so he could help me assess things and I think he wanted to enroll! We'll both be at Temple Saturday..come introduce yourself if you can...I have no idea what you look like.

Temple vs Drexel
Sunday, March 25 2007 at 08:00 PM

Hi - I saw that you attended both the Temple and Drexel ASWs - unfortunately I couldn't make it to either due to a wedding, so if you get a chance, can you please let me know what made you choose Temple over Drexel? Thanks!

Why Temple...
Wednesday, June 28 2006 at 08:00 PM

I chose temple because I have a strong preference to practice in Philadelphia, and Temple fits me perfectly, with its expanding IP program and top reputation in this city. If anyone wants further details, you can IM me at "Yelin7" on AIM.

Hi! Just wanted to say hello since I have decided to go to Philly and I am pretty sure I'll be attending Temple, just taking a few days to think it over. Let me know if you want to chat, see you in the fall!

Decision made!
