Can I ask why you applied to so many schools, including ones whose 25th-percentile stats are clearly separated from yours? amalehuman
seriously, man Sunday, February 7th, 2010 at 2:58 am
That must have been A LOT of work and you obviously knew you wouldn't get in, or at least I hope you knew. Why do it? I mean, I understand having hope... but not when you've got a 144. – -anon

Better to Have Options Friday, February 19th, 2010 at 9:05 pm
I have a low LSAT and got in at Loyola Univ. Chicago. Hopefully, you submitted strong applications :o) Good luck! Accepted2010
Good luck Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010 at 11:13 am
I wish you the best of luck, I dont know why people feel the need to comment and not be supportive of each other. After all, we are all trying to do the same thing. SacGirl

I'm rooting for you! Good luck with the rest of your cycle. Don't get discouraged by all of the negativity on these types of sites. The LSAT isn't everything like some people seem to think it is. GaGaMonster

Law schools look primarily at three factors: LSAT, GPA and Personal Statement. Let’s not forget about "soft factors." The LSAT obviously has the most weight. Schools look at the difficulty of your major, so don’t beat yourself up over your GPA. However, this puts a lot more pressure on you to deliver a compelling and thoughtful personal statement. Consequently, the probability of acceptance will rely heavily on your personal statement. In-part because you can’t change your GPA and you must retake your LSAT in order to improve your prospects. If you really want to go to law school I suggest you go and matriculate in the school that has accepted you. Seeing that you applied to so many schools, im under the impression that you don’t care where you go. And if that is the case then do it! However, if you are not satisfied with the schools that have accepted you, then retake your LSAT and try to make at least a 150—this is the national average. Or you can always transfer after your first year, but you must excel. Best of luck!!! UTEP09
Silicone Valley and CALS Thursday, May 6th, 2010 at 2:24 pm
With your computer science and engineering background you should also look into one of the state-accredited law schools near the silicone valley. Monterey College of Law and Lincoln Law School San Jose look for non-traditional students and give more credit to your MS degree(s) than the LSAT score. – Dean Mitch Winick
