Additional info & updates

- 2/21- Haven't made any posts here so I think I will start. Almost the end of February, and still waiting on my latest LSAT results. Should receive my score by March 1. Then schools will start making their decisions on my application.

2/26- dinged by my dads alma mater, harvard...now theres a surprise..lol. no biggie..just gotta keep pushin.

2/27- Went up four points on the LSAT. Very happy..hoping this has a dramatic affect at the end of my admissions cycle.

3/8- admitted to Suffolk Law...soooo happy :)
-also, decision rendered on BC today.

3/11- Rejected by penn st.. haha no biggie. It was on the bottom of my list anyways. I'm in my number 1 school, its smooth sailing from here.

3/19- denied at uc hastings...wutever..didnt really see myself in cali anyways. only gotta go to one law school.

4/9- denied by duquesne..haha what a joke. who cares. non-event. what took them so long is what I would like to know.

4/12- denied at Hofstra. expected it i guess. Still would choose Suffolk over this school anyway.

4/15- deposit sent to Suffolk!

419- still waiting.....what is taking these schools soooo longgg......gahh..I want a decision from every school before I make my final decision. Mainly just waiting on Seton Hall and Rutgers...but I think I will probably just go to Suffolk..

4/21.. Admitted to Seton Hall!!!....oh man this is going to be a very tough decision...

4/22..Decisions are rolling in quickly...denied at both pace and ru-camden...although the denial from ru-camden seemed very personalized...thought it was interesting...probably the nicest denial that I have gotten.

4/29- decided on my school today :) ..After all the research I have done, I think that I will get a good education at Seton Hall.

Any comments or questions are welcome.

Thanks. Good luck to you as well. Congrats on ASL! I only got conditional acceptance. Have you heard anything from Touro...email, phone call, smoke signals??? I had to call to verify my app was complete and haven't heard anything since...

haha yea im in the same boat as you when it comes to Touro..havent heard much from them other than the fact that my app is complete..which i had to call in order to find out.

The school is small as is the Town of Grundy. There isn't much to do but I think I will be so overwhelmed with school that the lack of activities won't matter.

Hey dude, ASL is not bad, but there bar stats and career info scare me a bit. Also, if you look at there attrition it seems that they lose about 30 percent of 1Ls. I've ruled it out. Check out the career stats at ilrg.com

For a 60k scholarship.. NESL would get me. I can't turn down that much. I want to be at Suffolk, but they may not offer support.

Depends...

I just sent them an email today, talking cold-hard $$$...If they don't come back with a figure that's in the ballpark of the one I have in my mind, I'm going elsewhere... Its abrasive and rough...but its business. I love everything about the school except for its price tag, so we'll have to see.

Congrats on Suffolk! Will you be attending the New Student Day next Friday?

My biggest reason is money. Suffolk gave me 105,000$. You really cannot beat that! Plus Boston as a city is way better than Newark (atleast in my opinion). Also, I want to practice in New England and Suffolk is a great school for that reason. What are you leaning towards?

yeah, I definitely think it is underrated. I also was at Admitted Students Day and loved it! when will you decide?

Sunday, October 25 2009 at 08:00 PM

Suffolk sealed the deal due to the fact that employment in MA for Suffolk grads is fairly good...all things considered. As far as $ I have some outside sources that made that not a deciding factor in my choice, are you attending?

congrats on your acceptance! As far as what I liked about Seton Hall... It was the highest rank school I was accepted to, and also it was located somewhere I could see myself living. I got a good vibe when I visited the school too! Unfortunately, it's really expensive...
