Your lsat score will be a major player for you. I think giving your situation as long as you hit somewhere in the mid 140's you'll have a decent shot. Good luck and keep the faith.

Thanks!!

Hello, I am the parent of two, so I know where you are coming from. I would suggest taking a LSAT prep course if you decide not to attend this fall. The princeton review is particulary good and they have weekend and night classes. Godd luck on your cycle!

Hi Ladijd2008, If this cycle doesn't go your way, spend the next few months studing to retake the LSAT in October. I am a 39 y.o. married mother of 10 children. So, I know how tough it is. Email me

Keep hanging in there! Things will work out for you. It's all in God's plan. If things don't work out this cycle, I to would suggest a prep course. I took Kaplan and it was a big help. A guy in my class saw his score go up by 20 points. They provide some solid techniques for taking on the test. You may also want to consider NC Central. They have a strong program and take so many factors into account aside from lsat/grades. Best of luck...keep your head up!

Stay focus on your dreams. I am a witness. I am in your same situation but you know with God on our side who can be against us. I know exactly how you feel. Email me back when you can. Keep the faith.

Take the test over again. I know its painstaking, but just take the time to realize whats going on. You have to program your mind. I think its worth it.

Good Luck

Maybe law school just isn't for you, but if you feel passionately, try the LSAT again. Did you use the bibles? If not, I recommend the Powerscore course and their bibles. Good luck to you.

LAW SCHOOL IS FOR ME
Sunday, March 09 2008 at 02:36 PM

Law School is for ME! It's my passion! I am not going to let two low scores bring me down. I am determined! My motto is for those of you who tell me I can't ...I WILL SHOW YOU THAT I CAN!

You Can...
Monday, March 10 2008 at 11:10 PM

You can do it! Keep with it and keep the great attitude. Congrats on your son's acceptances. I know that is exciting! Hang in there..things are going to work out for you. Stick with it and take that test again if you have to.

Keep Faith

Do not give up! I would take a weekend course (with Powerscore) and retake if possible. Also, consider Loyola New Orleans! Best of luck

Hey, I know it does look good this cycle. don't despair, just take a prep course or one of the special programs. Many people on these boards have no idea how hard it is to study, work and try to advance. I know your struggle. Please email me if you need to talk. Good Luck

Try a course. I really believe it will help. Don't listen to these folks who are so negative. It's ridiculous for people to go out of there way to make comments like that. You did pretty well in school (GPA), so I'm confident that you can do better on the LSAT. You've got support. Keep your head up and please realize God has a wonderful plan for you!

I scored a 141 my first time on the LSAT. I took a course and brought it up to a 153. I know with continued patience you can bring your score up.

In the same boat!!!
Tuesday, April 29 2008 at 05:37 AM

Because of my bad undergrad gpa and no way to improve it I had almost given up my law school dream...If you take a Kaplan course I bet you will improve your Lsat score....

thoughts anyone?
Friday, May 02 2008 at 09:28 AM

Hey.. I got a thought...you should not bother applying till you get your score up. You flat out wont get in anywhere with a 131. Wait till you can at lest break 147. If you go to a school that accepts applicants with 131 you have a .01% chance of finding a job as an Atty. The job market is alot more competative than most applicants realize

You're Wasting Your Time
Monday, May 12 2008 at 04:31 AM

You may eventually get into law school, but what's the point? You will not be a good lawyer. You do not have the comprehending or reasoning skills required. I know that sounds harsh, but it's true. You could probably become a paralegal. I know you want to better your situation, but desire does not compensate for ability. Don't waste your time or your money.

Some people really need to get a damn life. How are you going to write discouraging comments on another person\'s page? Dumbasses. Who takes the time to do that? Only pathetic people. Where are you mofos going to law school at? What is your LSAT score/GPA? I am rooting for this woman.

If you are determined to become a lawyer, you can do it! You'll need to improve your LSAT score. Do this by taking AS MANY practice tests as you can. In almost any book store you can find old LSATs with names like "10 real LSATs" or "10 more real LSATs" and so on. Take every practice test you can find and make sure to time yourself! Also, if you don't get in anywhere this year, make sure next time you apply in November or earlier. You'll have a much better chance of getting in somewhere.
