Got a denial from FC. I talked to the Dean of Admissions at Barry, doesn't look good. He said they aren't really taking less than a 148 right now, and that they absolutely won't take less than a 145, even for the summer program. So that is pretty much a done deal. Cooley said things look good, I guess if I can stand the cold in Michigan! Good luck to you!

St Thomas

I don't know why St Thomas is rejecting evryone. When I looked at their recent numbers from last year they accepted applicants with a 139 LSAT score and low GPA's. I just don't get it.

Flordia A&M

You should look into Florida A&M since you are from Orlando

I don't know what you are going to do, but hopefully you are considering taking the LSAT again. You could potentially still get into Barry (worse case) at last minute through their early start program if your LSAT score improves. You would need to score at least a 149 to average a 145, and if you score higher, you will get in. I would try to avoid Cooley if possible because of the extreme cold weather, but sometimes, change is good. I don't know about you, but after living in Florida, studying in the cold weather really affects me. I went through this in undergrad. You should ask Cooley for their attrition rate for students from Florida. Additionally, since you're in Orlando, you should consider Blackstone Prep at 1-800-881-LSAT for LSAT prep. They will get your score up. I took Princeton Review previously and they didn't help a dime. When I took Blackstone Prep, I averaged a 155, but because of extreme test anxiety, I received a lower score. That's just my $.02 and my opinion. Just trying to help that's all.

Florida A &M

you should add it to your list of schools. I hope you get in as well. It seems like a decent school on the up and up. I would love to study law in Florida, but I don't think I would get anything done. I mean who can study with Mikey Mouse near you. lol Good luck with Florida A &M, call them and show then your continued interest. I withdrew from there so ask for my spot!! :)

PASO Program
Tuesday, March 07 2006 at 07:00 PM

Someone who entered the program two years said that only 10 people were admitted through the PASO program. I have heard from a couple of people that the odds are pretty slim. At this point I am not going. It is too much money for such a high risk. That's just me let me know what you think.

I don't know why it said my email address was wrong but I gave you an alternate one.

Fight

I would not say forget about law school. You should apply to Thomas Cooley which is in Michigan. You would get in because they base their acceptances on an admissions formula. You night not want to stay in Michigan but you could transfer after one year. You should also look at Univ of Detroit Mercy. Keep your head up. I am cheering for you to get into Florida A&M. The fight is not over.

Blackstone
Thursday, June 08 2006 at 08:00 PM

Definetly take Blackstone. At least call and speak to Mimi because she has been advising students for like 30 years or something and she will give you free advice. I tried taking kaplan and I didn't improve either. I took Blackstone and went up over 20 points. I asked Mimi how that could happen and she told me it isn't unusual for her students to go up that much at all. Another guy in my class went up 30 points. At least call and see if she can help you. Good Luck!
