I haven't taken it yet. I am taking it in September. I am shooting for a 160. I'm pretty nervous, because IUPUI is really my only choice. I see you are also a Hoosier!
- indylawHow long have you been out of school? Just because I am shooting for a 160, doesn't mean I will get it. I am not at a place where I am able to move away fror school, so I am confined to IU or IUPUI. How did you prepare for the LSATs? I am starting to get nervouse.
- indylawnervous, not nervouse:)
- indylawnervous, not nervouse:)
- indylawThanks for the advice. I have been scoring anywhere between 158-163. I am just going to keep taking practice tests until test day.

- indylawthanks for the comment. good luck with your applications, my top choices are miami and pepperdine, but I can't say i'd be dissapointed at any of those schools.
- stiffbeatingHave you sent in your Indy app yet? I just took the LSAT last weekend and waiting for the score is killing me!
- indylawI hear ya. It makes me a little nervous to just be applying to one school, but it is really my only option. Hopefully we will be classmates in the Fall!
- indylawThe only contact I have had was to tell me that I am complete and that they are reviewing my app. I'm not sure as to when they normally start contacting early applicants. When do you think Florida Coastal will contact you?
- ajs85They sent me a letter in the mail. I did speak with a girl today that is a 3rd year student at IU indy today, and she said it took them awhile to contact her. I think she scored a 169 on the lsat so I don't imagine they are in any hurry to contact me. Good luck using LSAC. It is my first time also; there's quite a bit to navigate.
- ajs85Thats great news that they are are on the move. I think Florida would be a nice place to spend a few years. What are your thoughts about Valpo?
- ajs85Thats good to hear. I did visit IU Indy and the prof utilized the socratic method very well, managing to scare me a little. Hopefully I see an acceptance from Valpo. Good luck with the cycle.
- ajs85YEA, i would LOVE to get into IUPUI...but who knows. Good luck to you!
- stiffbeatingI got my LSAT score and did better than I thought, so I am pretty pumped. I am going to submit my application this week. Will you be attending the open house tomorrow?
- indylawWell, I went and you didn't miss much. It was a campus wide open house, so the law school just had a booth there. Did you notice someone on here has already been accepted! I am still waiting on my LOR's to get in.
- indylawActually, I went to IU. I was an Alpha Phi there and am now serving as an advisor at Depauw. I'm a Hoosier through and through:)
- indylawHave you heard anything from IU indy yet? I have my fingers crossed for you. Do they inform you that they have gotten your LSAC info or how did you know when it was complete?
- indylawI'm not sure. I hope high, but I would guess 50/50. Unfortunately, I don't think i'll find out either way until late next spring... any idea when you should be hearing from any of your schools?
- stiffbeatingI don't know about you, but I am getting rather impatient waiting to hear from IUPUI. Do you know anyone else who apllied for ED?
- indylawYeah, Penn State is my top choice, but I am mostly looking to go to the west coast.
- lawschool123With a 156 & 3.1 and econ major I am astounded they passed on you....I am more like the wal-mart hoochie of 149 & 2.9 UGPA 4.0 Master's GPA....I can see why they dissed me. I'm leery of the 'regular admissions' process, in 2004 when I applied prior it took them until May 22nd to get back to me..... I bid you good luck and feel that you will get in at IU Indy, Valpo, john marshall, and Penn State. keep me posted deferred comrade.
- beattyotHey, so you got deferred man. I got deferred also. We have similiar numbers and though we both would have been accepted. Best of luck.
- marti154Hey, sorry you got deferred man. I got deferred also. We have similiar numbers and thought we both would have been accepted. Best of luck.
- marti154Congratulations! Even though they may not be our IU-Indy's or Depaul's still to have VU & JM on lock is a comforting feeling. I have not heard from anyone with a 'yes' yet except cooley. Regarding JM and VU, I would compare VU to rocky and JM to Apollo Creed in Rocky I if you are familiar. VU is fine, but is a very isolated private school where jobs are possible but you have to go to Indy or Chicago for them and after living in that area for some years in Gary, Indiana I was not thrilled on VU if I could avoid it. JM might not be the top dog of Chicago at all, but its still there and has its own slot of Chicago jobs and then you can actualize your degree and head to other cities and cop jobs in midwest, it has more gravity to me. I am strongly considering JM, VU is out for me even if they say yes because they do not have a night program and I'm going to be teaching by day and law school by night... How come you did not apply to MSU?
- beattyotThanks for the congrats...I have no doubt that you will eventually get in. Moreover, you can rest assure that more great news are on the way for you. Good luck with the rest of the cycle, and Happy Holiday.
- haitianIm leaning to the same schools you are in about the same order. Really the only difference is you go to IU and I go to Purdue. I really want that in state tuition or money from a private school. Best of luck!
- marti154...for the congrats. Sorry about the deferral. I still think you have a solid chance of getting in. Would you prefer Bloomington over Indy?
- indylawWow, that's excellent that you have choices! There is a really good chance I'll be attending JM. Good luck with your decision!
- jdantesI just got into JM last night and was awarded a scholarship so I would choose JM over VU if it came down to it.
- patel52Yes I did also apply Part-time. Did you? I'm sorry about your rejection at Bloomington and I am really suprised that you got deferred at Indy. That makes me even more nervous because your LSAT is way better than mine. When did you apply? Are you going to the open house on Tuesday? I am seriously considering if I hear that it could possibly help my chances.
- inpacersHey man, I am sorry to hear about Indy. That makes be really nervous and my odds aren't good. I was wondering when and how you found out? Best of look to you and let me know where you decide on going, we still might be classmates.
- marti154Good luck with VU and the money.
- marti154Thanks for the supportive words. Sadly, I cannot leave Indy, so VU wasn't an option for me. It looks like you are going to law school!
