I gotta say, it takes a man of conviction to take GULC/$$$ over Stanford/$. I know that GULC is a great school (and I'd kill to get in there,) but wow. I'm not criticizing your decision -- a free ride at GULC is awesome. I'm just expressing my surprise at your bucking the trend; YHS is considered the holy grail for many applicants. Congrats on your success with this cycle!

I guess I was most surprised over the fact that you chose Georgetown over Northwestern (which is not only a better school, but offered you more money). 75k from Columbia and 45k from Stanford would also seem particularly tempting. *Shrugs*

Hey, congrats on your acceptance and the big money offer at GULC. When/how did SLS notify you about your award?
