Tough Choices...
Thursday, September 08 2005 at 08:00 PM

Right now, even with the money from McGeorge, I think I am leaning towards SCU. I went to the Reception and I enjoyed myself a lot. Also... As a computer geek, I think I am most interested in IP (that could change, I dunno), and SCU's IP course offerings are very extensive. I also am considering that normally SCU rates much higher than McGeorge, and this year's ratings are probably a fluke. I also have heard great things about SCU's alumni network... I dunno, I am lost... What are you thinking? Are you going on the 3rd or the 10th?

Still waiting to hear back from other schools before making any sort of preference. NY is really expensive, especially in comparison to Sacramento. We'll see though. I'm going on the 10th to Sac. Let me know how it goes

Congrats on all the acceptances! And the full tuition scholarship, too! Do you know where you're leaning towards? It's tough having a lot of options, huh! But in a good way!!! Congrats again.

areas of interest

I think I have an interest in IP... but I don't have a BS background, so that might end up limiting. I'd really like to get into sports and entertainment law, though, so I don't know if the lack of a BS would be a problem. If I'd only known about the BS req!! And, if I'd only known I wanted to go to law school!! How about you? What interests you? Looks like you'd be set up real well to go into IP, if you wanted, and SCU has a really high ranking in that field.

narrowing the options

I just visited Northwestern in Chicago, and both the school and the city were really impressive. I'll probably hold off on making a decision, but I have a hard time not seeing myself going to NU. I've had my eyes on this school and city for a while, so I'm pretty well sold!!

How was it?

Saturday, December 31 2005 at 07:00 PM

i went, i counted 3 or 4 asian guys there, so we had a 25& chance of seeing each other and not knowing it. I was sitting on the way back with the half empty table bc i walked in at 9:15. I thought it was ok. the school was very blah for me, im used to a huge school like sdsu so this was very different. i dont kow if my mind has been swayed ot go there yet. what did you think? what school are you leaning toward?

hey

so, i got wierd post from someone right after you claiming to be in the know. they say that all the decisions sent out this week are waitlists...i don't put much stock in it. if i don't get into lmu or davis i'm doing to usd. i sent my deposit in to usd already, just to save a space. i think realistically this is where i ll be going. if i was you i'd choose usd over cal west. if money is a huge factor for you than i understand how cal west can be tempting. but usd is much more established an well respected. people actually know it exists in southern california, can the same be said for cal west, or southwest for that matter? usd pt isnt bad, its really easy to transfer to ft after the first year, and from what the dean told me, about 75% of pt students dop this. what are your thoughts? good luck!
