and the same to you! Best of luck at NW and Chicago - I'm hoping for the best at Chicago, but fearing the worst.....
and thanks for the comment! I can't figure out how to delete the repeat posts, but no worries...makes me feel important to have so many comments! Hope your good news starts rolling in soon!
Yes, I have 1 yr WE. I suspect the reason I was deferred was that I didn't express a huge interest in NW during my interview. I think they are looking for students who really, really want to go there, and it just wasnt one of my top 3 choices let alone my top choice. I think you should have a good chance of getting in if you make it clear you would *love* to go to NW (provided you have some WE). Seriously, remind them at every chance (interview, LOCI, etc.)
for the kind words! Tell me if there's any info I can give you to help you out.
I have similar #'s to yours and received my acceptance recently... hang in there, from everything i've heard so far from current/former students, NU is worth waiting for! Good luck with the rest of your schools - I am sure you'll have some good choices.
Haha, I keep telling myself "Maybe this week!" When did you apply? With those numbers and WE, you might be hearing sooner than I do. :o)
Honestly I don't actually believe I have a safety school. It is kind of crazy but I figure worst case scenario I work for a while then reapply
good luck to yourself as well! hopefully the WE will pay off at NU?
Thank you!!!! I'm super-excited! Here's hoping there's good news coming to both of us from NU!
Hey, congrats on Twin CIties. Good luck with the rest of the cycle!
Stay strong, you will make it through. And thanks for the CLS congrats! Certainly takes the sting out of waiting for NU...but I would definitely consider taking them over CLS, especially with $$! Keeping my fingers crossed, but I'm in a happy place now :o)
I have 3 yrs WE as paralegal. Hope you get a better result from NW
Thanks!
Thanks - I went complete in early November and have about 3 yrs of WE. Good luck!
I'm currently a senior in the College, originally from the north suburbs of Chicago, which it looks like you might be as well? Good luck with NU, I just got put on hold by them yesterday
UMich is my first choice, with NU and WUSTL after that. I've already had a very good cycle, so anything else at this point is just gravy. Good luck to you!
Best of luck to you!
Hey, thanks for the words of encouragement.what type of public interest are you looking to get into?also, is chicago a fun city? I have never been..
Yea, I kind of thought I was going to get in. I did apply for honors scholars btw. Keep me updated!
I appreciate your comment. I figured I'd get some rejections. UCLA, Boalt, and NW were expected. UCLA and Boalt are big on GPA, and NW is with work experience. Everywhere else I'm not quite sure what went wrong. Hit and miss I guess. I hope you get into U Chicago!
Thanks for the note, and congrats to you too on your admits and awards. As for how I'm leaning, I'm holding off until I hear from all the schools I applied to before I start to lean too far.
Why is it that thie big schools take the longest to decide! It's driving me nutz!
how did they inform you of decision? I am expecting a rejection here soon enough
Heya number-twin, congrats on NU! That\'s pretty impressive, ... from the other offers it seemed like their main criterion was 170+ LSAT regardless of GPA. It was a sad day indeed when I received my rejection. Anyway, out of curiosity, what do you think opened the door for you? Letters of interest and the like? Well, again, congratulations, that\'s awesome. And a very wise decision to attend NU over Kent, imo. Best of luck to you! :)
No work experience :( Is NW your first choice?
