No work experience- I'm applying directly after undergrad. I'm still in school!

Additional info & updates

**4/7/08** The withdrawing has started. Hopefully freeing up some space for anxious candidates. Still debating on withdrawing from Harvard and Yale. I still have a little glimmer of hope for one**

**2/26/08/** YALE Deferred (email). Boston U, BC, and Brooklyn all sent letters. The CYCLE IS OFFICIALLY OVER! Again, it was strange and very unpredictable.

**2/19/08** COLUMBIA EMAIL!!!!!!!!!!! Wow, what a surprise! I'm very happy; the scholarship is over three years. I was held at HARVARD, not surprising (email) I was rejected from UVA, I'm not surprised. FORDHAM acceptance was via email, money over three years. Lastly, American was also via email. I still can't get over Columbia, this has been a strange cycle; not at all what I expected. Its been a humbling experience. Three schools still pending, it's almost officially over.

**2/6/08** I like finally receiving decisions, but I wish that bad news will stop coming in duos and trios. Rejected from the following today: UCLA, Northwestern, and Cornell (all regular mail). To be honest, Cornell was a bit of surprise, I was expecting a waitlist. Strange cycle.

**2/5/08** Talk about Super Tuesday, well Stanford was on a whim so I didn't expect to get in. UPENN Called! The rest were all in envelopes. My mother called me so she could open the,. Rejection hurt, even if you were expecting it.

**1/24/08** The purple envelope arrived from NYU! Still holding out for Columbia.

**12/10/07** You take a final in a difficult course, and then return to your apartment to receive a call from your mom, that you been waitlisted at Duke. Guess it was my GPA, damn natural sciences and calculus courses**

**12/03/07** Merry Christmas I suppose, snail mail from Georgetown. My grandmother thought is was more junk mail, then I asked her to give it to my mom, and she read the letter to me over the phone. One down, lots to go.**

** 11/29/07-I KNOW EVERYONE WANTS UPDATES, HECK, I WANT UPDATES, BUT NOTHING HAS MATERIALIZED YET. I THINK BECAUSE MY NUMBERS ARE SPLIT THEY'RE WAITING TO SEE HOW'S THE POOL LOOKING**

**Update**- 10/31/07 I'm going to apply to Yale, Stanford, and Harvard. Let's see what happens.**

-I hope posting as much info as I possibly can could help someone else
-What else can I say, I'm a splitter!
-I tried to submit the applications in early and in blocks. My strategy is to just send in as many as possible and hope that at least one comes back with an acceptance (hopefully to my top 10).
-Debating on whether to apply to Yale, Harvard and Stanford. What's another $200?
-My story: Lower middle class background (single parent home), first to get a BA--(nothing unique, there are others)
-June 2007 LSAT

Absolutely apply to HYS. You have very good chances there with that LSAT and your URM status. I have a better LSAT and similar GPA and I will be applying to every T14, and I've been told I have a good shot. No reason not to! Best of luck!

You should apply there so I can see where you get accepted/rejected and gauge my chances! :) I'll be watching you! muahaha (in the internet sense, of course)

Good Luck!

Choices
Monday, October 01 2007 at 08:00 PM

I'm not really sure yet, I'm probably going to have to visit all the schools to decide. Do you know yet? Good luck on all the rest!

Congrats!

On Penn!

Thank you!

Congrats to you, too - A Super Penn Tuesday, indeed. Sorry to hear about the rejections, but it looks like you'll have some fantastic options/hard choices ahead. Do you have a first choice at this point? I'm not totally positive yet...but it's hard to ignore New Haven, that's for sure. I will definitely be visiting a number of places, weighing $$ offers, etc.

Sorry about the rejections

I'm really surprised about your rejections. You seem to be quite qualified. Still, you have a lot of great options!

Congrats!

hey man congrats. what was your lsat prep like? i'm really going to push for a 170 or so to have a chance at HYS what do you think happened with some of those schools? definitely surprised with some of them. who cares though you got columbia!

Congrats on your impressive, yet odd cycle!

thanks
Friday, March 07 2008 at 07:00 PM

hey thanks. yeah you're cycle is pretty random, haha but columbia is pretty sick i got the logic games one, and starting tomorrow after exams are through i'm going to go through that one, then all the others and hopefully be ready for june.

163?
Friday, March 07 2008 at 07:00 PM

oh and you seriously think i could get columbia with a 163? funny enough, thats the Dartmouth LSAT average...which I'm pretty surprised about, its pretty low (that is considering the average SAT is pushing 1500, you'd think the LSAT would be pushing 170). anyway yeah i bought the LG bible and am doing pretty well so far, I'm just going at it as hard as I can

Thanks for the good wishes. You're leaning towards Columbia right? Well, congrats and maybe I'll see you there in 2009 as a transfer. Good luck.

90% sure that I'm going to Michigan. I got a nice scholarship there. That other 10% is Cornell giving me a huge scholarship or me getting into Penn with a scholarship close to Michigan. I doubt that either will happen, so it's pretty much Michigan.
