Additional info & updates

At least until I hear from my 4 pending schools, I am trying to decide between FSU and UNLV. UNLV gave me a nice scholarship and its a lot closer to home than Florida, but Florida has a joint degree program in Economics and Law and is ranked better.

Does anyone have any advice about either of these schools? comments are appreciated.

has an outstanding faculty, 99% job placement after 9 months, right next to the capital, you will be in-state after a year, and top bar passage rate in FL to just name a few things. I was extremely impressed with the school at admitted students day.

I chose FSU because I have ties to Tallahassee, I want to work in government, and I want to stay in Florida. FSU is a pretty regional school, or so I'm told, so if you're planning on practicing out west you might want to consider UNLV.

Ah to echo all those before me, what steps did you take while waitlisted at American? I have pretty similar numbers to you and am very much still hoping to be admitted. TELL US how you did it!

I got an email asking that I confirm my email, the next day I talked to the dean on the phone. I was offered a spot in the part time evening program, and was then given 24 hours to lay down the 700 bones for the seat deposit. I decided against American because of the average indebteness vs median starting salary. I know its a great school but I really just cant afford it. In addition all three other schools that I have been waitlisted at are schools that I would go to over AU, and so the 700 dollar deposit without time to fully consider it made the school out of my range of options. Hope this helps....Best of Luck
