Additional info & updates

4/28 - I'm going to Penn. Though, I must admit... It broke my heart to withdraw from Michigan.

4/24 - Officially waitlisted by Northwestern.

4/20 - Waitlisted by NYU via letter dated 4/14. Also, I received a letter dated 4/16 from Vanderbilt thanking me for letting them know I was withdrawing and wishing me good luck. This is in addition to the email I received expressing the same sentiments. Let me just say that Vanderbilt's admissions office has been amazing; they have been a true pleasure to deal with and they set the standard to which other schools should strive. Also, I got my state income tax refund! Holler.

3/25 - Rejected by Harvard via email.

3/12 - Rejected by Stanford via letter dated 3/9.

3/11 - Offered $10,000 per year by Washington University, the "Scholar in Law" award.

3/7 - Received a letter dated 3/3 from Vanderbilt offering me an "Honor Scholarship" of $10,000 per year.

3/4 - I'm counting my "Hold" at Northwestern as a waitlist... Since that's basically what it is. Now the only player I'm waiting on is NYU, plz hurry kthx!?!?!

2/27 - Waitlisted at UCLA via letter dated 2/24.

2/25 - Waitlisted at UVa via email that arrived around 6:30pm Pacific.

2/17 - In at UPenn via phone call... I had my phone off at the time and they were kind enough to leave a message. I also received a follow-up email later that afternoon.

2/16 - UPenn Status Check says "Decision Rendered"

2/14 - Got a Dean's Scholarship offer from Michigan dated 2/10.

2/5 - Small envelope from UChicago containing a rejection dated 1/30.

2/4 - Wowowowowowowow... Michigan Status Checker changed to "Decision" today so I tried logging into the Admitted Students site... And I could! And it said that they sent me an Offer Package on Monday!

1/30 - No phone call from UChicago today, so I'm hoping for a hold or waitlist some time next week.

1/29 - UChicago Status Check says "Decision Pending"

1/23 - Got a big ol' package from Vanderbilt via USPS Priority Mail. Certainly the nicest and most complete (and, perhaps, most convincing) acceptance materials I've received.

1/20 - Vanderbilt Status Check says "Decision Mailed" on 1/21

1/15 - Interviewed with Northwestern. Sat in on a class, went on a tour... I think Northwestern Law is one of my top choices now (provided, of course, I get in)!

1/9 - In at WUSTL via email, under consideration for scholarships. Feeling relieved that I finally got in to a school.

1/2 - Preferred Waiting List at GULC.

12/30 - Decision at Georgetown according to the online Status Check!

12/20 - Wheee! I've FINALLY sent the rest of my applications. I may yet send a couple to schools where I've gotten fee waivers, but this pretty much wraps things up. Now, I wait...

12/19 - Took forever for UCLA to go complete because I forgot to let them know that they shouldn't wait for scores from the December LSAT (which I wound up canceling anyway).

12/15 - Small envelope (dated 12/12) from Columbia. Rejected under Early Decision; application will not be reconsidered.

12/15 - Interviewed with Georgetown alum in downtown Los Angeles. Certainly seemed to go well, but who can really tell with interviews?

12/2 - Invited for an optional interview with a Georgetown alum in the Los Angeles area via email. Returned the email four minutes later and accepted the invitation.

That sucks with Columbia... I'm have an Early Decision app with them as well, but I haven't heard anything yet... Good luck with the rest of your cycle! I'm sure you'll have some good options by the time this thing is over.

Thank you! I am excited, but I predict great things with your numbers. Plus, as a fellow Los Angeleno (Los Feliz) and science major, I know you're going to rock this cycle

Thanks! I love NYU, so I was pretty happy when I got the letter. Sorry it took so long to get back to you. Good luck with January and February - you'll probably be hearing a bunch of good news! I ended up not applying, but I've heard that Northwester is a really cool place to get your degree... I hope you get in.

Live in Midwest and just got my acceptance package; mailed same day as yours. I suspect you've got good news coming your way. I was pending since October and the wait was killing me! Good luck on your cycle. It looks like you've got some killer softs there. Neuroscience?!? They've gotta love that!

Congrats!

Wow, congrats on your acceptance to Michigan! Glad to see a numbers twin doing well. Do you have any particular softs that you think pushed you over the top?

thanks!
