Splitt3r (2022-2023)

3-14-09 - Got the Columbia ding via snail mail today. Wasn't really holding out too much hope there anyway. Still working on LOCIs for vandy and G'town, those will definitely go out monday.

3-10-09 - Went "Under Review" at Duke today. Sent in LOCIs to cornell and UVa yesterday, going to be sending in NU and hopefully vandy and G'town today.

3-2-09 - Reserve Letter from Cornell. Disappointing, but somewhat expected given how late I went complete and the wording of it made me feel like I actually had a pretty decent chance of getting in.

2-27-09 - WL @ Vandy :(. The rest of my day will be devoted to writing LOCI and getting these "please keep my on the WL" forms in.

2-26-09 - Well, today was a busy day, with a WL @ Virginia, a "decision sent" on the status checker from Vandy, and FINALLY going complete at Cornell. All of that actually happened yesterday, but I'm just getting around to checking it today. On one hand, I'm happy about the WL at Virginia because I'd love to go there, but on the other hand they seem to be waitlisting absolutely everyone this cycle so I'm not getting my hope up. I have no idea what to think about the Vandy decision; I want to say that I'll get in, but given how my cycle has been going thus far it's really hard to make such a bold presumption.

2-23-09 - Got the acceptance package from Davis and a rejection letter from Texas today. Definitely have mixed feelings. On the one hand, I'm glad to finally be in somewhere, but on the other hand, how could I not get into Texas? Gah.

2-17-09 - Got a Hold from Northwestern via E-mail. How is it possible that they don't know what they want to do with me this late in the cycle? I mean it's not like they haven't received all of the applications they're going to get and have gone through the vast majority of them by now. Very annoying. Ah well, such is life. I'll be sending in my Candidate Response Form along with a LOCI in a couple days.

2-12-09 - Ding at Berkeley via status checker today. Not exactly shocked.

2-10-09 - Rejected at Michigan via letter dated 2-6-09. I'm pretty much convinced I overlooked something serious in my apps, but oddly enough I am not really panicking about it. I figure that whatever's going to happen will and there's no sense in freaking out over it.

1-30-09 - Got my G'town decision today. It was a waitlist. If this is any indication of things to come, I have severely overshot this cycle in terms of where I applied.

1-29-09 - Went decision at G'town today. We'll see what it is when I get the letter, but it was so quick it's got to be an acceptance, right?

1-28-09 - Having a bit of a crisis with a couple of my applications. I resolved one and need to call the admissions office of another school today to get things sorted out. It's been very stressful getting everything put right though; perhaps all of this bad luck re: getting my apps in will be balanced out by good luck with acceptances? Probably not, but I can dream....Also I went "under review" at Berkeley today. Obviously I'm not super optimistic, but once again, I reserve the right to dream.

1-21-09 - I was looking at my own LSN today and realized that I had forgot to submit my Duke App. Wtf? Fail. Oh well, got it in today, better late than never I suppose. It's still all quiet on the law school front for me. Who wants to take a guess as to where I'll hear from first?

12-9-08 - Finally got my LoR issued resolved and submitted the first half of my apps. Looking to get the rest in by the end of this week.
