11/25 - submitted my apps about a month later than i wanted to...but what can you do. I'm going to submit my berkeley app by the end of the week - i wanted to write a specialized PS since they allow for 4 pages, whereas the others are all around 2.

12/3 - status checker on vandy's website says "Decision has been mailed!" I suppose this means I was accepted - I haven't heard of any rejections coming out this early. Yay!

12/8 - lots of news!!! Picked up the Vandy package today and it was HUGE! $10 postage haha. very awesome - especially the book put together by the current 1Ls to show you what Vandy is like.

AND I finally finally FINALLY finished my Berkeley PS and I'm really happy with it. Sent in app!!

AND I GOT A PHONE CALL FROM UCLA :) Soooo nice on the phone. I'm in! Which I thought was funny since I was just asking people yesterday if anyone had gotten "thanks for applying" emails. I was worried that my app was lost at UCLA less than 12 hours ago. It's sooo nice to have an option on the table in Cali :)

12/14 - checked my physical mail, no UCLA letter yet. But, there was a big envelope from Michigan. No, it wasn't an acceptance letter, but a request to fill out forms to establish residency! Tricky! grrr.....they should have a stamp on the envelope "Don't get too excited..."

And my georgetown status checker has updated to Decision!! Don't know what it is yet, and I'm away on vacation for three weeks ahhhhh!

12/18 - visited georgetown and loved it :) how did they build five beautiful new buildings in the middle of downtown DC??

also, the northwestern status checker just changed to say that i went complete on 12/15? It had originally said that I went complete on 12/1....weird....

12/19 - My SO just got his job placement for the next two years - in Boston. I went out on a limb and applied to Columbia, NYU, and Harvard....we'll see what happens!

12/20 - Just received the official Georgetown letter in the mail :) small, off-white, postcard sized...sent to my permanent address, not my current mailing address. Strange... Good think I am at my parents' for the holidays.

1/5 - IN at Michigan!! Just checked online status checker, which said "Decision," so I tried to log on to the admitted student website and it worked! Apparently the letter was sent by snail mail on 12/29, so that is the date noted above. Whoop!

1/7 - Harvard status checker "under review!" UCLA packet and beautiful blue envelope from Michigan received.

1/14 - In at Penn via phonecall!!!

1/16 - Received Penn email admit :)

1/19 - Duke status checker changed to "Decision" ahhh

1/20 - Named a "Dean's Scholar" at Michigan with an award of $18K per year - $54K total for 3 years. Only stipulations are to maintain a 2.0 and to carry a full courseload ;)

1/22 - Placed "On Hold" at Northwestern. Probably going to withdraw - my thoughts are leaning east coast over midwest anyway... No word from Duke yet as to what the decision may be

1/23 - In at Duke via snailmail :)

2/6 - received huge Penn portfolio!

2/17 - tore open big purple envelope today and then hugged a stranger....IN AT NYU!

2/24 - got the first big N-O: Yale. I was expecting it, but a waitlist would have been cool. Also, received a (very small) letter from Columbia informing me that my app was still under review. I totally thought it was going to be a rejection and was really hesitant to open it. Luckily, it wasn't even a waitlist. Yesss...

3/9 - Withdrew from Northwestern. I'm leaning east coast, barring an admit from Stanford. Going to send in a LOCI to CLS soon. Visited NYU for ASW this past weekend - nyc was overwhelming but fun. Liked CLS's campus, but didn't get a full tour etc. Going to visit UMich this week, a non-ASW trip.

3/9 - Waitlisted from UVA. I'm sad - it's so pretty! I received the decision by email. It was probably the nicest waitlist letter I've ever heard of - they mentioned that it was pretty much impossible to get in out of state this year (they have over 30 applicants for each out-of-state seat), and that they over-enrolled last year's class so they're trying to make this year's class smaller.

3/16 - recieved a mailbox full of rejects - Stanford & Berkeley. I would have loved to go to either, but understand their decisions since their class sizes are so small. Also received a Chancellor's Law Scholarship to Vandy. Its coming down to the finals here!

3/17 - just received an email from USC that says, "Congrats again on being admitted...come to our admitted student day!" what? i haven't heard a peep out of them in over three months haha... guess i've been admitted

3/26 - received usc packet. finally withdrew from some of these schools - good luck everyone!

4/7 - placed on hold at wash u - wtf?

4/13 - placed on reserve at Columbia via snail mail letter. the only school i have left to hear from is the big H

4/16 - waitlisted at Harvard! via email. Will definitely be staying on the list throughout the summer

4/26 - sent in tuition deposit to Penn!
