Additional info & updates

Scholarship amounts are over three years. The LSAT and GPA I've listed are completely accurate.

Will fill out everything once my cycle is over.

8/8: Accepted off the waitlist at Chicago.

4/28: Withdrew from UCLA, Vanderbilt, and Georgetown. Barring some favorable WL action, I'm totally committed to Cornell. Couldn't be more excited!

4/20: WL at NYU. Here I come Ithaca!

4/18: After 3 months UR, NYU status checker just switched to "DLS 4/13". No email yet.

4/7: $10,000 per year at Cornell. Now have to make the tough decision: is Cornell worth $14k more per year than Vanderbilt?

4/4: Still waiting on financial aid information from Cornell and Georgetown, and getting uncomfortably close to deposit deadlines. Will be withdrawing from USC shortly now that UCLA has upped my scholarship.

3/31: Just withdrew from WUSTL. It's hard to turn down that kind of money, but I don't think they're the right choice for me.

3/28: $75,000 at USC via snail mail.

3/9: In at USC via email.

3/8: $72k at Vanderbilt. Visiting the March UCLA admitted students event and the April Vanderbilt admitted students event.

2/25: Waitlisted at Michigan.

2/23: In at Vanderbilt. Also, visiting UCLA in March.

2/21: Decision letter mailed according to my Vanderbilt status checker. That was fast. Now begins the waiting.

2/12: Decided to apply to Vanderbilt at urging of a fellow TLSer.

2/10: Waitlisted at Chicago. Will be submitting some stuff, but I'm assuming right now that I'm permanently out and thus won't be delaying other action to wait to hear back from them.

2/10: Rejected by Berkeley.

2/8: In at UCLA via phone call from Dean Schwartz. $60k scholarship. If I get rejected from all other schools there's a good chance that UCLA would be my pick right now. Hoping for Chicago decision tomorrow.

2/7: Well, it's been a month without any real activity, but I just got my scholarship offer from WUSTL: $120,000 over three years, which is just 9ki short of full tuition. This is going to make for some tough decisions. Also, according to Chicago their december complete files are going to have decisions midweek, so hopefully some good news there.

1/21: UR date at Chicago updated to 1/21.

1/7: Under review at UChicago. I actually think I've got a decent shot here, so I'm really excited.

1/7: Under review at NYU now. They've already admitted a few people with #s similar to mine, hopefully I'm as competitive an applicant as those people were and my late submission date doesn't hurt me.

12/30: Status checker email from Michigan.

12/27: Status checker email from Berkeley today, followed 20 minutes later by the under review email.

12/22: Just submitted to NYU and Berkeley. Feel bad submitting them this late, but what can you do? Will be attending GULC admitted students reception January 27-28. Any excuse to visit DC, amirite?

12/20: Accepted at Cornell via email under non-binding early action.

12/17: Accepted at Illinois with full tuition scholarship via email.

12/16: Accepted at Washington University via email. Being considered for Scholars in Law Award. Hearing from Illinois tomorrow, and hopefully from Cornell sometime soon.

12/10: Accepted at Georgetown via snail mail. Small envelope. Handwritten note from the Dean.

11/27: Got a letter in the mail from Texas. Got a $7k/year Townes Hall scholarship, but no mention of the out of state tuition waiver. That means attending UT would still be $150k . Not too impressed with the offer. Also, have decided not to apply to UVA.

11/26: Submitted UCLA, which I forgot that I had not already submitted. Decided not to apply to Vanderbilt because their app is annoying and I'm not crazy about the concept of living in Tennessee for 3 years.

11/23: Took a break from taking a break to send off my Chicago app. Still no word from Cornell as far as completeness goes. Just finishing up 4 "Why x" essays for Penn, Duke, UVA, and Mich.

11/18: Went complete today at Georgetown.

11/18: Admitted to University of Texas today via phone call. No mention on the voicemail of scholarship money.

11/15: Received Illinois status checker today after submitting the app over the weekend. Very happy with the prompt response, and even though they say it should start out as "incomplete" and can take as much as 2 weeks to go complete, it's already marked as complete and ready for review. I didn't do the Why Illinois essay, so hopefully that won;t hurt me. Dean Pless laid out the timeline and process he'll be using to work through the apps, which is very nice.
