Additional info & updates

Scholarships are per year.

1/6/09 Complete at Cincinnati via e-mail
Also complete at Temple via online status checker

1/7/09 Complete at SLU via phone call. Also registered for the open house for this Saturday.

1/10/08 Attended SLU's open house today and was extremely impressed. The career placement's office had a lot of information about career prospects and salaries for those wishing to stay in the city after graduation, which i want to do. Very excited and SLU is definitely close to the top of my list.

1/12/08 E-mail from SLU. "File Currently Under Review" hope to hear soon. I'll feel better once I just get one acceptance!!

1/16/08- IU-Indy and SLU status checkers both say "decision letter sent"

1/17/08 No mail yet...

1/19/08- Great...a federal holiday and I have 3 status checkers that say my decision is in the mail and has been since 1/16. Another day of waiting...

1/23/09- Email from Cincinatti and UK with acceptance. Scholarship info to come later

1/26/09 In at NKU, SLU, and IU-Indy all via regular mail in small white envelopes.

1/30/09 In at Hofstra via small white envelope. At the very bottom of the letter was a $35,000/yr scholarship offer (just short of full tuition) as long as I maintain 3.25 GPA. Letter included really long, nice letter about my personal statement from the assistant Dean. Status checker is still only showing complete, so i was surprised to receive this information.

2/4/09 In at DePaul with $45,000 towards total via snail mail.

2/21/09 Just received $7,000 at UK. Must admit, it's probably the best offer I am going to receive because I am an in-state resident. However, I'm still hoping for a better offer at IU-Indy. UK is going to be the cheapest, but I'm not letting the IU dream die until I have a letter that tells me otherwise!!!

Good luck! Are you looking to stay in KY? I am probably headed to UK next year. Hope to see you there.

I found out shortly after I was admitted last year. The scholly is actually for $7500/yr. The letter described it as a non-resident scholarship. Best of luck on your cycle!

I just got a fee waiver from SLU so I'll definitely at least apply. Hopefully we both get in there! I know you won't have a problem! I'm really starting to get nervous... Oh and I emailed UofL today and am complete there so keep your fingers crossed.

I received a link to their online status checker after I went complete. I actually heard of my acceptance from an email that mentioned that the scholarship offers were being sent separate from acceptance letters. A little bizarre since the status checker website indicated that I had had a decision rendered on 12/23/08. I got the acceptance letter on 1/8/08.

Thanks!

Hey sorry I never got back with your earlier, I actually didnt take it again. I did prepare more for it so didn't feel like it would make a difference. I finally applied a few weeks ago and got into UK which is where I will more than likely go if I do. Still holding out for IU Indy?

Hello fellow accounting major! We have very similar numbers. I grew up in St. Louis and have a lot of friends who recently graduated from SLU's law school. I think that for me it will inevitably come down to financial assistance. Congrats on UK ... $7K on top of in-state tuition is very hard to beat!

UK $

Is that $7,000 per year or total? Either way, it makes UK pretty cheap.
