1st generation college student

I'm casting a wide net across all tiers. It's going to be fun to look back and see where all I'm accepted/rejected/waitlisted.

Accepted to Washburn via phone call. My first decision was an acceptance, off to a good start.

02/17/11
Denied at Washington & Lee. No surprise but I was maintaining a small flake of hope for a while.

02/18/11
Denied at Lewis & Clark via e-mail, disappointing because I thought I had a shot at this one.

02/22/11
I got accepted to St. Thomas - Minneapolis via the status checker. That makes me 2-2 so far.

Cooley acceptance in the mail (big envelope), they're offering me a 75% tuition scholarship that I'll keep if I stay in good academic standing and avoid disciplinary action.

Also received a big envelope from Washburn with a checklist, a residency form and a viewbook about how cool Kansas is.

Got my University of St. Thomas packet in the mail today. They're offering the President's Scholarship which covers FULL TUITION! All I would have to do is maintain a 2.0 and full time status.

I am withdrawing from Pacific McGeorge after hanging up 15 minutes into a "brief" phone survey about my interest in the school. The guy pretended he it was a basic law school interest survey and then started asking a bunch of questions about my interest McGeorge after he asked me to rank my top 5 schools. Underhanded bastards called from a Montana area code.

As far as hbcu law schools, Howard was the only one that looked attractive to me. I'm nervous about getting in, I have not seen much data indicating how they'd react to my split.
