Extra Curricular Information

I am not URM. I think I have pretty decent soft factors, and I spent a lot of time writing my PS, but we'll see where that gets me.

I've been so privileged to receive so many helpful advice from past applicants. If you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer them. I'll update the specifics after my cycle! :)

Update 12/16: My numbers are very very fudged, but I promise that they are not auto-admit for Yale, if that concept even exists. The advice I would give is to write the PS and the Yale 250 with absolute seriousness. I spent about 6 months writing the PS. I had been thinking about the 250 for about 2 years, but I never penned anything down, since I didn't think any of the ideas I had come up was amazing. I finally got an idea to write about something during the admission cycle - I incorporated some humor, good writing, as well as my ideological beliefs.

Additional info & updates

11/24: In at Michigan!
12/1: In at Berkeley!
12/16: In at Yale.....um.. I can't believe it... I just got a call about an hour ago.... I will post my real numbers and my softs once I receive the confirmation email from YLS. Still in shock.
12/24: In at NYU.
1/16: In at Stanford... wow...

Good luck on your applications! We have very similar numbers, so i'll be interested to see what happens with Michigan.

No Michigan for me? Because I have a boyfriend who says there is no work for him there. :(

... on Michigan and Berkeley. But could you please delete the comment above from "anonymous"? That's just not okay (and I know it's not your fault, you might not have even seen the comment yet).

Good luck!
