I took the LSAT multiple times, and this was a very humbling admissions process. I was told by "experts" that most of the schools I did indeed apply to would flat out deny me. That was not the case. Take chances and live your dreams. Do not be afraid to speak up for yourself. Apply, whats the worst that will happen? Send a letter requesting a scholarship or increase, whats the worst that will happen? I am very lucky to have so many options, but it did not come as easy as I would have hoped.
I have made my decision as to where to attend and I hope you all find your path as well. Good luck.

Have you considered sending an app to Marquette? They're pretty big on sports law, and might throw some cash your way.

Hi AaronChase, I am currently reading up on Marquette but will investigate it more. I have worked in sports, and am contemplating sports law and some other ideas. How about yourself? Have you applied or considering Marquette?

Congrats on Marquette! I am hoping I am close to hearing from Fordham I applied about a week after you.. Hopefully Cardozo will reply to us soon too!

Thanks QueenBee! Figured with my numbers I would get into Marquette, but also was not surprised by Fordham's rejection. I visited Cardozo last week for their Intensive Trial Advocacy Program trial event, which was really unique to see the students in court form. Wishing you the best of luck with the rest of your cycle and that Cardozo sends us positive responses soon. Cardozo is one of my top choices so I am hopeful to get in :) Best of luck!

That is so awesome! I was reading about that online it looked so cool! I am planning to go visit in March even though i've been to both DC & NYC. Hopefully I end up with an acceptance to Fordham but I am more thinking Cardozo will be the one.. Can't wait! Hope you get in too!!!!

Thanks! Nothing can be as torturous as the five and a half months I've been waiting on Northeastern. Hopefully you hear from American soon!

Wednesday, March 06 2013 at 01:57 PM

Thanks man!....Congrats on the acceptances, which school are you leaning towards? Better yet, where do you want to work?

Sunday, June 23 2013 at 11:49 PM

Nice Profile Man, really detailed and helpful. Congrats on your success

Sunday, June 23 2013 at 11:49 PM

I would say that you should stay on top of the schools your wait listed at. Once a month send a letter of continued interest or call and ask if your status has changed Schools want to see that you're interested in their program

No clue :( It's killing me as well! I also can't wait to see what happens to me @ Fordham I would love to go from WL to A! And, I want to see if I get any $$ from American. I'm at such an anxiety filled time in my cycle!! Ahhh Good Luck to you too! Any idea where you want to end up?

Oh def! I am actually going to be in NYC early May so I will most definitely be taking the time to visit them should I not hear by them. I plan on submitting my LOCI in the next week or so. Cross your fingers :) Thanks!

Cardozo Grant
Wednesday, December 04 2013 at 09:19 AM

I emailed Admissions asking to send in a letter asking for a scholarhsip. I was informed to email Admissions as well as Financial Aid. Received an email after a few days offering me a one-time only 7.5K grant that is good for just my 1L year. Non-renewable. Generous but not enticing for me to go. 7.5K will not even cover half of my housing cost. I showed Cardozo my Seton Hall offer and my Syracuse offer. Looks like I will be withdrawing, but I will take it as a moral victory; this was a school I set my sights on getting accepted to and am proud of the hard work. I hope all of you try your best to get some extra $$ out of these schools
