Additional info & updates

Scholarships are 3 year totals

---------------------------------

12-6-13 Accepted to Seattle via email

12-20-13 Rejection from BC via email; obviously no surprise here

1-3-14 Rejected to Washington via email; another long shot

1-9-14 Accepted to NYLS via phone call.
Scholarship award to arrive via acceptance letter soon

1-13-14 Accepted to Suffolk via status checker/letter in mail

1-14-14 Received admission letter and scholarship award of $12k per year to Seattle

1-27-14 Received letter from NYLS with $25k scholarship that is renewable if I maintain top 50% of clas

1-28-14 Waitlisted at Cardozo. Not a deny, so I'll take it

1-31-14 Received acceptance email from Brooklyn early morning

2-4-14 Rejected to BU via email

2-14-14 Complete at American finally. Just waiting on them and Northeastern. I will never forgive myself for carelessly selecting regular admission for my Northeastern application. I probably screwed myself by making that mistake.

2-20-14
Sent and complete at St. John's. Recieved an invite for a video interview the morning after I submitted the application.

2-21-14
Accepted via email to American!

3-7-14
Waitlisted at Northeastern. I'm pretty crushed.

3-19-2014
Accepted to UConn via email.

3-20-14
Accepted to St. Johns via status checker. Also got an email indicating I am receiving $40k per year with top %40 stip. That's a lot of money that I can't ignore.

3-21-14
I submitted one last application to Seton Hall today just to make sure I'm not missing out on any great options or opportunities.

3-25-14
Got an email from St. John's increasing my scholarship to $45k a year. I've gotten into much better schools but this is a huge scholarship..

3-25-14
Accepted into Cardozo May program via phone call from Dean of Admissions. Also recieved an email stating that I am receiving a one time, non renewable $10k achievement grant for my first year.

Brooklyn and UConn $$ amounts are for tuition remission and need based grants and are three year totals.

Submitted a couple last minute applications and decided DC is where I want to be. American's offer was not much plus the application process is a little jacked. So CUA it is! I still have an application pending at Seton Hall but I really feel like this is a good choice for me. Eight months later! It's been fun kids!

Thanks for the info, Northeastern is pretty much my first choice so the wait is killing me! Fingers crossed for both of us!

Good luck on your cycle, you have pretty good softs! I was a Music major with the same LSAT too, be interested in what schools you get into!

Thank you!

Wow congrats on Brooklyn, is it one of your top picks? My mom went there, it's an amazing school - you should be really proud!!

Thank you! I'm really hoping it will open up more scholarship options, guess I'll have to wait and see. I was Waitlisted at 3 schools during the week leading up to score release, not sure how quickly those might turn around... Congrats on American, I'm STILL waiting on a decision from them!

Tuesday, November 19 2013 at 07:31 PM

Thanks! I think it will depend on scholarships. I am waiting to see what kind of need-based award I receive from UConn, but if it's significant I don't see how I'll pass it up. And honestly, CUNY is still definitely in the running for me for a number of reasons. But Northeastern is just puuuuulllllllliiiiiiinnnnnggggg me to Boston. I'm going up for the open house at the end of the month. I'm half hoping I'll get there and realize I hate it, so my decision will be easier., but I know that's not going to happen. Brooklyn is a great choice to have, and you'll be really happy there. BLS is a great school, my mom went there and she had a great career. I was kind of crushed not to get into my mom's school, but at least it was a WL offer. You're going to LOVE it there, I've lived in that neighborhood and it's amazing. The only thing that beats a borough hall dirty hotdog is a washington square dirty hotdog, and let's face it - neither of us is going to NYU ;-)

Tuesday, November 19 2013 at 07:31 PM

Yeah, I'm a bit surprised as well. I got a somewhat terse reply to my update email which didn't acknowledge that they had received my score, and no answer when I tried to confirm. Maybe I'm just not what they're looking for...

Thursday, February 20 2014 at 05:35 PM

All this waiting is killing me! Congrats on your acceptances - I was waitlisted to Northeastern as well and was equally as crushed! Good luck to you

Thursday, February 06 2014 at 01:33 AM

How did you get your American scholly? I was admitted the same day and yet...crickets! Thanks! and congrats on the acceptances.

Tuesday, November 19 2013 at 07:31 PM

Congrats on UCONN!! It's looking that's where I'll be, is it one of your top choices?

Suffolk

Well Done on your cycle thus far, in terms of your application to Suffolk, how long did it take you to hear back. When was your file deemed "Complete". Also, how did you first find out? Best of luck with the rest of your cycle!

I submitted my application early November and went complete early December. I found out via status checker in January. They never once emailed me. I later received an acceptance letter in the mail.

Hi Wbrem! It took me a while to notice you wrote on my page... I'll be going to Temple! I see you narrowed your options down a bit. What are your top choices?

Sunday, June 23 2013 at 11:49 PM

Great job on everything. Your cycle has been extremely productive

Tuesday, November 19 2013 at 07:31 PM

I made 2 deposits and now it's in my husband's hands. If he gets a job he submitted for near Hartford I'll be at UConn, if he doesn't get it I'll be at CUNY. I'm just glad the decision is out of my hands now, I was completely torn between the two schools. You narrowing it down now?

Sunday, June 23 2013 at 11:49 PM

congrats on catholic. I'm sure you'll do well!
