My interview was really cool, the girl was super nice and really honest about everything. Not a lot of canned responces and she even guided a few of my answers. That being said, they do follow a few questions NW dictates them to ask and of course not all of them are as cool as my interviewer. They canned questions she asked me were mostly about leadership. What have you done to be a good leader? What's your definition of leader? blah blah blah, It seems a lot of people had the same experience. Also, why NW and such
Good luck in your cycle, especially now that we know we are even more of the same person!!!
I don't recognize the username! Seeing as you called me your canadian buddy I'm assuming you're canadian! Are you having the NW interview in Canada? If so - PM me!
with some quick searching I have discovered your identity! And therefore, ignore my question regarding the NW interview! Best of luck friend (and I also didn't realize your numbers were so amazing!) So glad to have you around LSD! And best of luck (though perhaps I should save such luck for myself since you clearly don't need it)!
That was a nice "hello" GY :P Your stats are solid gold!! I wish I was in your shoes right now. What is your top choice?
Good luck, hope the TS interview goes well.
Hey (almost) numbers/schools to which we are applying twin, your TS1 gives me hope...I applied about a week later. Good luck.
$$ is a big decisive factor for most of us. Well, either way, you know your future is quite set...I wish I would have a hard time choosing between NYU or Harvard :P Good Luck on you TS call BTW!
sooo tired of waiting :)
Thanks, GY! You'll be fine at UT. No worries.
and congrats on Texas, I'm sure you have something close to a full ride in the cards.
Yeah, we've had the same cycle thus far, but you have super way mo' betta' numbers than me! Since we submitted apps/went complete around the same time, looks like we should hear the good news around the same time :)
My partner is a director/VP level software engineer. Not a big industry in some places where I applied and I'm really cognizant of that as I progress forward. It is likely to have an impact on my final decisions, however.
Congrats on UT and G-town. I hope you are ready for an awesome cycle...
You as a rich, white country club guy huh? I never thought I'd be so happy to be a poor brown girl then if you think our chances at admission to certain schools will be similar ;) Thanks for the congrats. You're a sweetheart!
didn't know this was a race! but you know what happens when our kind (and by our kind, i mean russkis from a particular secondary school) get into a competition! nothin but trouble!
OMG, that's insane that you're hanging out with Andrew! Say hi for me! I was just at GULC yesterday. Let me know what you think of it once you visit.
A friend of mine had a med school interview at Georgetown so I went down with her. I liked some parts of it a lot, and some parts, not so much. :)
HAH! I just saw your thing on LSD about "our" school of law. Brought the lulz big time. Maybe YOU will be there. It would be divine intervention for me to make it. But I'll stay hopeful.
Thanks! Healthy competition is always good :) Are you on Thanksgiving break?
Congrats on your assumed Vandy acceptance ;)
Congrats on Harvard!!! You're going to have an amazing cycle my friend.
That Yale comment is weird, lol. Congrats to you on HLS as well! I'm sure that if I'm not dead set on Yale by the time ASW rolls around, I'll see you in Cambridge for that! Congrats, again.
Thanks, man. Congrats to you too!
because OSU wasn't stupid enough to hire Rich Rodriguez. Oh, and congrats on Haaaavaaad.
Congratulations on Harvard!
I am super excited about it...good luck with your cycle...you've got some amazing numbers!
Trust me. I'm not ignoring it! With me wanting to end up in Texas for the rest of my life, it'll take a Yale acceptance to pull me away from Austin (or something as equally grandiose).
I just thought of something. You have 14 schools, I have 10. To make this really fair, we have to do percentages! That puts me at 40%, you at 35%. :P
Truly awesome stuff to come home to!
Your Duke rating brought the serious lulz. The bball team is one major reason I'm skeptical about the school. Also, it's totes normal to be seduced by money. I mean, I don't have many options yet, but I'm feelin' you on that too.
120K is a pretty little sum. The real fun will be to see if CLS throws a Hamilton or HFS Fellowship at you. 139K and NYC--now that's a hard offer to turn down!
Congrats on all of your acceptance and UT scholly.
and by the way i really love your ranking system...no teams from the pac10?
Either the East Coast or the south. We'll party like whoa. I'll be fratastic and wear flip flops and we'll play Beirut :)
It feels like the georgetown rejection was almost worth it for the increase in popularity that has stroked me ego. Until I realized that people are only looking to see how I got rejected with a 171.
I actually deleted some info, which is probably why it said I updated and you couldn't tell. HTH ;)
I suppose I should warn you. I've never actually played Beirut (and people here on the Best Coast call it Beer Pong), so I may end up drunker than most. But either way, it'll be fun :) I will, however, draw the line at paddling. Some fratty traditions just shouldn't be carried on.
Ha, you should do it for a day. That would be interesting, especially all the nervous e-mails. Or, better yet, wait til Cornell starts sending otu rejections and people are paranoid/nervous.
If you got accepted everywhere on your list, what would your first choice school be?
I didn't mean to give a false impression. I meant to select Columbia, not Cornell. Good luck on your apps!
I'm not sure either. I've always wanted to raise my family in Texas, so UT certainly has a big draw for me. Plus, raising a family with no debt would make stuff easy. A Yale acceptance would change things quite a bit, just because of the doors it could open up and their COAP loan program. Harvard is a bit of a wildcard. If I didn't get into Yale, it would definitely take me a fantastic visit to Boston to completely sell me on the school.
It's true, GY, but I deleted that comment, just in case. Thanks!
wow congrats to u on Harvard! lol im a little envious.
Thanks! I'm excited :) Forgive me if I don't always congratulate you because...well, I kind of expect you to dominate.
I appreciate the congrats. Maybe you can hire me one day when you make partner.
Thanks for the grats =) Congrats to you too on so many wonderful acceptances, I'm sure there are still many to come!
Your misguided Yankee loving self will join me soon. P.S. let's hijack TLS with inane questions!
I should probably line my schools up like that too.
I'm visiting this week. Will let you know what I think if you like. Hope relaxin' is going well. -ath
Your numbers are straight-up chameleonic. Grades last term must have been what, a 1.0? And did you really take the LSAT and score a 170 the second time around? This is patently a case of self-sabotage. Ha--just kidding. Also, Palo Alto was nice. Really beautiful. To tell you the truth, it had a vibe eerily similar (who'd have thunk it?) to our school, which, depending on what you want, may or may not be a good thing.
WL at Stanford? O RLY? And in early May? Utterly ridic. See you at the H/Y game this year?
Damn, didn't know you had such great #s! Well, at least I have a world series victory over you this year :P
