There is something specific about each school listed that attracts me to it. When the offers of admission begin rolling in, I will NOT be relying on rankings in selecting a school. I come from a very rankings/status driven college environment, and I'm raring to leave that aspect of college life behind (along with the gelid weather). I'm confident that no matter where I go, I will have more opportunities of which I could ever take advantage.

Failure is neither an option nor a concern.

I'm pretty handsome too. Let me know if you want me to send you a pic (ladies, not gentlemen). LOL!

I look forward to the fruitful exchange of info. Good luck to all!! But keep in mind........ahhh nevermind, no need to get all philosophical this early.

This is the best source of admissions info I've found: www.theadvisormag.com

Just thought I'd update the board. It's been a great cycle...got into everywhere I applied. Should've applied to Vandy...oh well.

I'm about 90% sure I'll be heading to UALR Bowen to do their JD/MPS program with the Clinton School. I got full rides to both schools. Can't beat two degrees for free, particularly when you want to "save the world". :-)

All the best to everyone. And please don't tell Pres Clinton I'm for Obama. :-)

Yeah, I didn't have any conditions attached to the scholarship offer I was given. They basically gave me a lump sum to be divided up over three years.

I'm pretty positive you're going to have a great scholarship offer from them with your LSAT being a 162. I think the only thing that might adversely affect you would be that you're from out of state. But even with that, I bet you'll get a better offer than I did.

You don't want to move to BOS. It's expensive and cold! I'm really interested in UALR's joint program with the Clinton School. I'm applying over there as well. if I get in to both, UALR will be my first choice. I have a mentor who recently moved to LR, and she said there is much more there than most people from other places would think. So, I'm relying on her perception. Also, you can't beat the tuition. Assuming I get in, even if they only offer me half scholarship, that'll be less costly than most other places. Hopefully, I can find a good comedy club down there. if law school doesn't work out, at least I'll have something to fall back on. :-)

At this point, I think it's still my top choice, despite the scholarship offers, but I can't really decide until I have all of the decisions sitting in front of me and have visited the schools. What's your top choice?

Hey!

I see that you're applying to Emory and UALR as well. I think they're both really good schools and that you have a great chance of getting into both of them (and all of your other schools). Good luck with your applications and let me know where you decide to go!

Hey, I saw that you were interested in the dual degree with the Clinton school. Same here, I'm really excited about it, the Clinton namesake is doing a lot for the school. I created a facebook group for the Bowen class of 2011: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=15988451927 Good luck!

Congrats!

HI! I recently got accepted to UALR and I am seriously considering it, because there are things about the school that I love (on paper). Unfortunately, I have never been to Arkansas or anywhere near it (I live in NY) and this is where you come in! Lol How is it?? Do you like?? What don't you like about it?? Thanks!!
