3-19-07: Ohio State - Acceptance Phone Call From Admissions...Open House @ THE Ohio State on 4-13-07...funny how this was the last application I sent out and the first one to come back positive?

3-24-07: Ohio State - Catalog and Alumni junk arrived this week...but I still haven't received my official written acceptance...

3-26-07: Ohio State - Official Acceptance Letter, deposit due by 4-16-07...need to wait on some kind of word about scholarship/financial aid AND any sign from other schools

3-27-07: None - Finished Reading 1L...good thing by the end he cheers up cuz the first half of the read was exceedingly depressing

3-28-07: W&M - cream business envelope, waitlist

3-31-07: Ohio St - Scholarship Info...$3,000 and $4,500, I think the $4,500 is renewable, whereas the $3,000 is more of a one time grant?

4-06-07: UT Austin - short direct email, waitlist...this one's a real downer, Austin was awesome when I visited

4-11-07: BC - white business envelope, priority waitlist

4-12-07: Case Western - visited the school today...wasn't thrilled by the urbanish setting, but I did like the beautiful parks to the backside of the law school...building itself was modern and nice, library was really nice in parts...asked about the status of my application for the millionth time after tour...told it hadn't gone the admissions committee yet, but that it would be fast tracked over to them that afternoon because I visited

4-12-07 (5pm): Case Western - acceptance via email...why couldn't they have looked at my app 2 months ago if it wasn't gonna take them but 2 hours to decide on it?

04-12-07: Georgetown - online status check went to decision

04-13-07: Ohio St - admitted students day...really liked the place...living is superbly ideal (across the street in brand new apts), and it means you don't have to mingle with the undergrads unless you want to (which could be fun)...

04-16-07: Georgetown - white business envelope: rejection...this one was not a big shocker

04-20-07: Ohio St - sent in deposit, given an extra week to decide by Dean when I was at Ohio St for admitted students day on 04-13-07......not necessarily the final decision, but seat deposit will go in for now and I'm content with that

04-23-07: Vanderbilt - online status check went to decision, expecting waitlist at best sometime this week

04-27-07: Duke - business envelope: rejection...again, nothing I couldn't expect

04-27-07: OSU - email indicating more scholarship money headed my way...$4000 renewable with a 3.0 gpa...that means 1st year is $11,500, 2nd and 3rd $8,500 (assuming no other scholarships)

04-30-07: Vanderbilt - business envelope: waitlist

05-03-05: Case Western - $21,000/year renwable scholarship offer...too little too late

...cycle is finally over...waitlists suck...its like being picked last in grade school dodgeball...OSU here I come...

...anyone looking for apartments for OSU? I'm looking for a roomate who wants to live in Southcampus Gateway...I've already got the apartment hold in my name, just need a roomate...

...I'm not sure if I'm relieved that this cycle is over or just in shock/awe that I no longer need to worry about it anymore...
