Thanks for the update about GSU and I'll keep you posted on my end. Sorry about Emory. I applied there with the same mindset. I'm sure I'll get my rejection soon, but I know I'll be a little disappointed, too!

I thought about Mercer, but it's too far to commute and I can't move (husband's job, child, etc). Will you go there if GSU doesn't work out? I will probably go to JM and try to transfer to GSU after 1L.

I applied to GSU's part-time program, then sent an addendum specifying all the programs in my order of preference. PT Day was 1st, FT Day was 2nd. The online status checker doesn't show that addendum, but I'm not sure if they record every addendum there. I'm assuming you applied for FT?

GSU complete Nov, Emory complete Feb. I didn't apply earlier to Emory because I thought I would get in to GSU pretty easily. When I realized how long it was taking, I decided to apply to Emory so I couldn't later wonder "what if?" while I'm paying close to the same money to go to John Marshall.

Just got my rejection today. I'm actually not as disappointed as I thought I would be. I'm still holding out hope for GSU!

I went to GSU for my undergrad and really liked the campus. I also went to the GSU Law Open House and was impressed by the presentation. I'm going to visit JM on Saturday so I'll have a comparison after that.

Congrats! My status checker still shows complete, ready for review. Maybe this week will be it! When is GSU's Admitted Student Day? I didn't make it to JM, thought I might jinx my app to GSU. :)

I'm jealous :) I'm in the smae boat as jenandtonic...playing the waiting game. But I'm applying from out of state so I need to know either way to set up living accomodations etc. My long-term boyfriend has been in atlanta for the past 7 months which influenced my decision on ga state....I just wish they would let me in! any advice...should I write another letter? any advice would be GREATLY appreciated!

I called GSU and found out that I'm on hold. They will begin reviewing next week and make decision by 4/30. Guess I'll have to send my deposit to JM, since it's due Monday. Fingers still crossed!

I called and asked for my status. The lady was nice and said that decisions would be made by 4/30, but I was hoping to hear something before ASD. I'd really hate to miss it if I get accepted later. Oh well... if it's meant to be, it will be. I'll let you konw when I hear something!

... at Mercer! I have a dear friend who graduated from there and she loved everything about it. Sorry I won't get to meet you at GSU!

What made you decide to go to Mercer rather than GSU? I am waiting on GSU to send a letter. The admissions director said it was in the mail, which I think means that I was not accepted. I like Mercer, and it is very close to home. However, I do not know how in the world I will pay for it!!! I think that's where I will end up at though.

I really liked Mercer when I visited. I'm just concerned about the cost and having to relocate, but it seems like a great place to study law.

I am trying to decide about what I am going to do. I'd like to take some time off, but I know I may never go back if I do. It seems like most people take a few years off before going back. I really don't know what I am going to do. I liked Mercer when I visited, but I do not like Macon at all. I guess I'll have to decide quick because the deposit is due next week.
