I haven't had the nerve to call admissions to check my status, but if their Admitted Students Day is 4/10, I would think they would try to make as many decisions as possible before then. I'm hoping! Good luck!

I just called... my app is on hold, too. They will begin review of Holds next week and will make decision by 4/30. Yes, my undergrad is from GSU. I loved it, but it is very urban. Some people don't like it... different strokes, I guess!

They are definitely a top choice. I hope that we will hear some good news next week!

thanks...i was very surprised about the south carolina scholarship. I called GSU earlier this week and they gave me the same speech---application on hold and will make decision by April 30th. I had to go ahead and pay a deposit someplace else, but i'm still hoping for GSU! Ahh the anticipation is killing me!

i hope that they seriously don't make us wait until the 30th to find out! i've gotten kinda obsessed with checking the online status check!

This is not good news. They promised 4/30 and I'm holding them to it! Have you been here yet to check out the area? Where are you thinking of living, if you know?

I've also pretty much decided that if I don't get in, I'll retake the LSAT and apply again next year. I don't live in town, but I think that the places you mentioned are fairly safe and quite a bit closer than Dunwoody. Also check Midtown around GA Tech. My husband's daughter lives in a gated complex near there and it is actually very affordable.

I go to Georgia Tech in Atlanta now. My graduation is May 5th, so i'm really hoping that I'll know where i'm going to go to law school by the time that i graduate! I already know where i'm going to live if i stay in atlanta, but i have no clue where i'd live if i ended up at usc or mercer. ahh i hope they let us know soon!

Your news is frustrating to me, too! That sounds like a high number that they can't decide about. At least the rejections that are trickling through on LSN are still quite lower than our numbers. Keep hoping!

thats ridiculous. i wonder if they are going to let people know as they go and its just luck for when your application gets pulled, or if they are going to look at all 280 before they tell anyone. at least they gave you more information than they were telling us before!

Your calls to GSU have yielded a lot more info than mine just did! I just called and was told that "all files are currently in committee and none have come back" and that decisions are being made on an ASAP basis with no set date.

No, still no change on the status checker. I'll have to wait for snail mail.

Called today and asked for update. They still have not made a decision on my file, but said they hoped to finish around mid-May. Any word about your file?

I read your post on snafu's wall, and I agree with you completely. I do not think that they are making a very good name for themselves this cycle. I hope that everything works out for all of us, but it would have been much more professional of them to keep us in the loop of our status. good luck!!!!

I had a dream last night that my status checker changed. The last time that happened, I got rejected from UGA the next day. LOL Let's hope it means good news instead today!

That's the time the lady I spoke to kept repeating. I can't remember exactly why that time was important (haha) but I think that's either the time they update the status checker or the time the decisions typically come down from "upstairs" as she said. I'll keep thinking positively. :)

I got an email from them today stating that they HOPE to have all decisions made by May 18th...

I got the same e-mail that gtg received. My heart almost stopped when I saw the subject line. They probably sent that out because they've been getting so many calls. Did the lady give any indication about what type of decision came down? I'm guessing probably not.

i saw your message on someone else's board....i just called and they told me that a decision was made on my file yesterday as well. she said the letter would be going out today. I asked her if the online status checker would be changing and she said that yes it would. hopefully they will update it soon!!

We had the exact same numbers. Why did you only apply to two schools? I am waiting on GSU too. I hate Atlanta but the price it just too good

So I called. Apparently they made a decision about me on Friday but they never updated my status checker. I wonder when that will get done. So a decision has been made...and I didn't think it would be possible to feel even more sick over waiting.

so i called back and asked a few more questions. apparently the letter is supposed to go out the day following the decision, but there is really no system to how often they update the status checker. hopefully they will decide to do it soon!

I'm really sorry about your conversation with the director. Have you decided what you will do now? I will be going to Mercer, and I have a good feeling about the school. Maybe you should apply there next year if you still want to go to school in GA. Good luck with whatever you decide to do!

Yeah, I am not at all impressed with the way they operate. My parents really want me to go to Mercer and really do not want me to go to GSU. Mercer has a better reputation in rural Georgia, which is where I want to practice. I applied to GSU simply because of the price, but I don't know if it would be worth it. What are you going to do? Good luck with everything!! Just be glad the whole ordeal is over.

Just got rejected from GSU. Can't say that I am that depressed about it.

Hey!! =) I'm not sure where I am living yet. I have looked at a bunch of places and can't decide what I want to do yet. The few I'm considering are Hunters Ridge, St. Johns Plantation, the Montreux (condos) Villages of Baymeadows are ok too. All are pretty nice, newly renovated and close to the law school.
