UPDATES:

2/22/12: Accepted into Pace with a $14,000 per year scholarship. Rutgers looks enticing at this point.

1/23/12: Received a full scholarship from Hofstra! Very enticing. Still waiting on Pace.

1/13/12: Rejected from Fordham. Not really disappointed as it was a reach. Accepted into St. John's with a $35,000 per year scholarship with a tiered ranking stipulation. Seton Hall offered me $25,000 per year with a 50% ranking stipulation. :D

1/05/12: Accepted into Hofstra and Seton Hall via online status check. Hofstra did not provide scholarship information yet; Seton Hall information will be sent through the mail.

12/12/11: Accepted into Rutgers-Newark with a $12,000 merit-based scholarship. I must maintain a 3.0. Very exciting!

11/22/11: It has only been a few days, but sometimes I cannot handle the anticipation. I keep checking the online statuses even though decisions are a few weeks away. Who else gets this feeling? :D

11/18/11: Applications are in before Thanksgiving! The earlier, the better. Will be updating.

10/24/11: RECEIVED A 163! What a great feeling. Hard work truly pays off. Here we go!

I'll be attending Pace (which I'm stoked about) but since being admitted I've been reading so much negativity and "ragging" about the school (Not that it matters to me; I KNOW that I'll be attending the best Law School for ME...) but I AM curious to hear YOUR reasoning (if you care to elaborate) as to why you applied to Pace (beyond it being kinda "local" to you, and you considering it a "safety" school).Anyway, I'm sure with your numbers you'll end up where you wanna be....:)

Aha949, Thank you for your comments. I am only applying to schools that I would go to. There are plenty of other New York-area reaches, safetys and solid schools I could have applied to. I took the LSAT at Pace Law and found the campus and facilities beautiful. Alumni I have met from Pace have been successful opening their own law firms or teaching, while making a decent living. Obviously to get a good job you have to work very hard to end up in the top of the class, but that is at any school. Thanks again!

Congrats on all your choices! I am from Calif but considering law school in NY area. Any advice between Hofstra and St Johns? I have similar schollys...admitted to Brooklyn..but no scholly info yet, and NYLS with crazy stipulations of top 15% to keep ha! Just not familiar enough with reps of area schools. Your help would be appreciated!
