Wow that is a LOT of applications. I'm impressed :) Congrats on Santa Clara. We have similar numbers - so I hope that is a good sign for me...
Congrats on your acceptance! Fellow new yorker applying to some of the same schools.. Good luck on the rest of your cycle.
Congrats to you too. Good luck with the rest of the cycle
Good Luck with everything! We have similar stats and some of the same schools. Congrats on Santa Clara
Yeah I withdrew from those two (actually I haven't sent admissions my withdrawal email yet but will soon) because I know that if I didnt get accepted to any other schools I would at least go to Miami. This will hopefully open up a spot for someone who really wants to go to the those schools that may be on their wait list. Maybe I could wait but I would like someone to possibly do the same if they knew they werent going to go to a school that I wanted to get into.
Thanks for the msg. Congrats on Santa Clara. If you are looking to stay in NYC, you might try calling Cardozo and getting moved from traditional fall to part-time may, it's easier admissions I think. I got in that way, and I've signed a deferment agreement to attend. Good Luck!
I sent in all of my apps straight away, at the beginning of the cycle. However, USC was hard to keep up with. My guess is that I heard back soon because they didn't like my LSAT. Sorry I can't be of much more help.
Hi there... you've had a crazy cycle. So of the schools you've gotten into... where do you think you're going to attend? Any specific school on your waitlist you really want? I was waitlisted at Pepperdine as well and dying to get in... :)
hi there... definitely it's a tough and competitive time. next year is suppose to be even more competitive. there are times where I feel I should've applied to law school last year it would've been a little bit easier. but on the flip side the job market would've been tougher. so i guess you win some you lose some. pepperdine is also my top choice and I was sooo upset to get the waitlist. my stupid GPA. I've nevere regretted my decisions and my focus on non-academic pursuits but I just wish that they saw beyond just the numbers. ;( but in truth... pepperdine is overrated at the moment. their ranking is higher but their reputation is not yet up to par. They have good dispute resolution program but that's it. The cost of attendance and living is much too high for the average starting salary and their wingspan is none. You go to Pepperdine and can only get a job in L.A maybe OC... :) Hope tha tmakes you feel better. It's all true... but for me that's exactly what I want... OC/LA and dispute resolution. Santa Clara is fantastic. they have top notch professors and they are one of the top intellectual property/internatonal law programs in the nation. Their location in silicon valley is to die for and lots of internship opportunities during summer and shcool year. Avg starting salary for private practice is about 110K. They have solid leverage up and down california particularly the bay area. They're very well respected in high tech law. lots of great opportunities. the students are very friendly and close knit. Good group. I'm excitedd to be going there. Of course if I get off the Pepperdine waitlist I'm going...but if not SCU is really exciting for me. :)
please withdraw from the Pepperdine waitlist or tell them you are not attending :)
Congrats on Santa Clara, when did you go complete?
