Additional info & updates

2/15: Called Suffolk after receiving an email inviting me to the open house on the 27th....Woohoo! I'm going to LAW SCHOOL!

2/28: Call from NESL: Accepted for PT, WL for FT...

3/8: WAITLISTED AT MAINE! Crossing my fingers that they will take me...

3/19: In at Franklin Pierce via e-mail.

3/29: After talking with an alum and a current student, I've really started to seriously consider Franklin Pierce. And I just applied on a whim! I hope I hear from Suffolk soon regarding my aid package. I like Suffolk but its really f-ing expensive....

4/7: FP or Suffolk?

4/10: E-mail from Maine: They wait-listed 100 people. The 1st year class is only 100 people. Doing the math, I'm coming to the realization that I will be forced to migrate. Gee, I wonder why native Mainers don't stay in Maine... Maybe because they're forced to leave so that some inmigrant yuppies can take their spots at their publically financed law school.

4/11: Suffolk FA: Cappiello Scholarship + Law Trustee Grant + Trustee Loan (sometimes it pays to be: related to long since dead revolutionary war soldiers; a genealogy enthusiast; and poor!)

ADVANTAGE: SUFFOLK.

4/12: It was a tough choice, but I put my deposit down at Suffolk and withdrew from Franklin Pierce. Barring a miracle (Maine law developes a conscious and decides to let me in) or calamity, I will be attending Suffolk University Law School in the fall!

WOOHOO...$150K IN STUDENT LOAN DEBT, HERE I COME!

I am from New York currently in D.C. my scores are pretty good so I assume it has to do with my being an out of stater...kinda sucks but at least I won't be so cold. I haven't heard from Suffolk yet, I am kinda praying I get in their...goodluck

I am as surprised as you!

Honestly. I was puzzled too!Your LSAT is way better than mine, I am surprised you were waitlisted. If you really have your heart set, the good news is, I am waiting on 3 other schools, and if any of them say yes, I will turn down Maine. So maybe it will open a spot for you!
