Additional info & updates

My GPA is very low, I am a learning disabled student that never received services despite my documentation. I have dyslexia as well as ADHD. Graduating from college with out accommodations has taken me over six years but I was determined and desperately want to attend law school. If you have, any advice pleases help.

Ps. I have recently completed Georgetown Laws intensive pre-law program with a 3.2 GPA. Do you think this will help me in any way?

My retake was the same, a 153. URM status = black male, first in family to go college, and grew up in a housing project.

I am just praying I get in to a Law School.

Keep praying!

It works :-) I think the pre-law program and your grade in it serves you well, so include it under education on your resume. You seem to have a fantastic topic for your PS so I hope you incorporated your story more into that than an addendum. If you applied by January, I'd say you have a good shot at any number of your schools. Be blessed and good luck!

good luck

You did well on your LSAT so that should count for something. Your URM status should help a great deal. The low GPA was my weakness as well. Why didn't you apply to more lower tier schools?

Pierce, definitely.

I got wait listed at NESL so I'm a little prejudiced, but Pierce is in my opinion a much better school. Its T3 vs T4 for NESL. Oh, and NESL's building is rather ugly. If you have any interest in IP GO TO Pierce. I'm debating between Pierce and Suffolk.

Pierce

I just recived financial aid papers from Pierce. Do they send this to every one ? Could this be a good thing ? Please Let me know what you think.

Someone told me she called to check every day and finally was told that if you have not been accepted as of yet then you will not be and they will send out the denials in one batch before the program begins. yeah that hurts just a tad if its true, but good luck to you anyway.

Thats right

Congrats sister. When choosing your school, please please PLEASE carefully examine the career prospects after graduation. Look at the numbers, don't read the crap they write describing themselves. The numbers are out there. Go get them. Let me know if you need help finding them. And don't throw your money away on a school like Cooley. It's a dead end. Do your research! Congratulations again!
