03-04-07 - Quick Turnaround by Tennessee...accepted with talk of possible scholarship in the future...large white envelope with acceptance and hand-written note on the bottom (classy touch, UTK!)

03-19-07 - Priority Mail Package from Hofstra with free t-shirt (yessss, extend laundry another day now) inside. Offered Full Tuition Honors Scholarship.

03-20-07 - Received $10,000/year Scholarship letter from UTK

03-26-07 - Talked to the Dean at W&M and found out I was waitlisted...not exactly what I wanted to hear, but she was incredibly nice about it, telling me that I was definitely a candidate that they wanted at their school, but that there was such an increase in applicants this cycle that they have to wait and see...so I guess I will.

03-29-07 - Well, my alma mater doesn't want me back, that's wonderful...also got the cream colored 3-page W&M waitlist envelope this morning...Sorry Notre Dame, I guess you're only getting enough money from me to make me eligible for the football ticket lottery each year.

03-30-07 - Brooklyn has let me in, notifying me by e-mail this morning when I woke up from the rough night before...I don't think I'm really looking at them, but I have to see what the offer they send me in the mail is first.

04-25-07 - Rejected by Fordham today according to their status checker...boohoo, I had absolutely zero interest in going there...probably the most impersonal group of people I've ever talked to regarding admissions anywhere, and they think they're better than everybody else. Not exactly an environment I'd like to be learning in.

04-28-07 - Got my Vandy rejection today so it looks as if I'll be attending the University of Tennessee come August. I can think of a lot worse environments to be in than in Knoxville, and I'm really excited to get there. Congrats on the UTK scholarship. Are you considering them? I went to check the place out this past weekend and I must say I was impressed with both the law school and the city. If you can't visit and are considering them, hit me up and I'll answer any questions you have about my visit. I think we got the same scholarship offer, 10K/yr. and have to remain in good standing. Do you know exactly what "good standing" consitutes? Top 50% or just not under a 2.0?

What dorm do/did you live in at ND? I spent my first couple years of UG in Keough. How seriously are you considering UT? Are you in-state?

I absolutely love ND. I almost went there for undergrad actually. I visited twice and was going between ND and NU and ended up going for NU because it was closer to Chicago. Anyway, I am crossing my fingers for good news from them. I have similar scores as you. Any idea if they average multiple LSATs or take the highest? What kind of chance do you think I have? Anyway, just wanted to bond with a ND lover...which i guess i am just assuming you are. Maybe i'm wrong.. Good lucl with the rest of your schools!

Man, tough break on ND. I'm sure being a Double Domer would have been pretty cool. This just means you can come to UT, with our good-looking women and big-time (though it can't compare to ND) football :)

Did your BLS$$ come right with your acceptance letter by mail? We share similar #s and I received first an e-mail acceptance then a few days later a mailed acceptance with housing info etc. No $$ though.
