I've applied to six schools so far. I think I'm going to cool it for a bit until I know my LSAT score. I kinda feel like I'm jumping the gun, but then again I feel like I've at least got to get my apps in. I don't think I could have picked a worse time to take the LSAT and apply to law schools. *sigh*

I was shocked to get my LSAT score yesterday afternoon. While a 157 isn't anything special, it's much better than my diagnostic score of 148. I've decided not to retake in February and just see where I can get in w/my GPA & LSAT. I'm hoping that my personal statement and professional work experience will help round out my application package.

Hey thanks, Pierce notified me within 15 days after sending in the application. They actually sent me an email and said that the letter would be coming in the mail

Re: Catholic - they notified me with a HUGE packet in the mail. I also got an email a few weeks ahead of time with financial aid information in it. I wasn't sure though if everyone got that or if it went out to admitted students only. Good luck!

Yeah, I noticed we've applied to some of the same schools! GMU is next on my list and then I might be done. You applying to any PT programs or just full time?

On your first acceptance and on the $$$! Did you withdraw your apps from SMU and Catholic?

Yeah, I have to say family appeasement was part of the reason I applied. I just hope it's not telling of what I will hear from other school...gotta love the waiting! : )

Yeah, I am really looking forward to that acceptance e-mail from Catholic. feel like we might have a lot in common in terms of score and hoping the work experience and personal statements make the difference. I'm pretty sure Catholic is a good fit for me, especially with the Institute I applied to. And it is their loss, regarding Maryland and American. We went complete at Catholic the same day, I think the e-mail might come this week, don't you?

Thank You! Tennessee notified me through a one page letter. It took about three weeks from the time I sent my application through LSAC for them to reach a decision. Good luck!

All my scholarship listings are totals for all 3 years...but it would be really cool if they were for each year ;-) Congrats on Hamline, Franklin Pierce, and the other acceptances coming your way!

Did your complete notice say not to expect a decision before March 1st? Well, at least I won't worry about that one for awhile.

I could login too- I think that means that we are actually in, but I'm not 100%, I guess we'll find out for sure when the acceptance letter comes in.

Thanks for your note about UTK. I could hardly believe the letter when I got it. It was almost too quick. Hopefully they will let you know soon too. Waiting is hard. :) Did you ever check the Maryland status checker? Mine has been the same (application recieved) for what feels like forever. Did you get any completion info from them, or just the final decision?

Thanks for the encouragement. I would assume from when you sent out your apps that it will probably be about one or two weeks before the decisions REALLY start rolling in. With so many of our apps in the same place (I know a lot of mine ar hidden), who knows, we may end up as 1Ls together. Good luck with everything!!!!

Pierce is my top choice. my lsat is terrible, but everything else on my app is really good. how did you rank against the normal ranges at pierce? (above or below) with my lsat, i dont even know if i have a chance

That's awesome!! I'm assuming you're not from TN if they're offering you instate? I hope this means that the letter they sent out to everyone includes scholarship info! (They keep emailing about the "delay" in "The Business Letter") Everyone at UTK has been so ridiculously nice to me, it's keeping them at the top of my list, that's for sure! I guess it pays off to be bold sometimes :)

Congrats on your schools too! Have it narrowed down at all? American stung because it was my first rejection. I got my waitlist from Temple today which was a bit of a surprise since I had a fee waiver from them. Oh well. Hope the rest of your cycle goes well and you end up where you want to be.

I'm still waiting on a few schools before I make up my mind. But it's kind of narrowed down to Santa Clara and Rutgers Camden right now. And if DePaul decides to take me off the waitlist I might go there. But of course if UCLA decides to be crazy and offer me admission then I'd go there in a heart beat.

Yea, I'm pretty sure I'll be at the law preview day. I guess it just all depends if I can get off work or not. I visited the campus over the weekend and was VERY impressed. I really think I'll be sending in my seat deposit pretty soon.

I think I'll probably end up going to the May 25th law preview day.

Yes. The scholarship basically evens it out to where I would pay in-state tuition, and I have heard that getting in state at UTK while a student is nearly impossible. Congratulations on making a final decision. I am still going back and forth and patiently :) waiting for UGA and UNC and U of M

Hey, I didn't meet you yesterday, did I? I tried to mingle around a bit to see if anyone from here or LSD was around, but I figured it would be strange if, after meeting someone for the first time, I ask them if they are on LSD. Heh. Looks like I'll be in Knoxville this fall, though. I was quite impressed.

Congrats on making your decision--it must feel so good. Do you move down there soon? I am considering UTK more and more each day--any thoughts?

I am really interested in UT this cycle... any advice?
