12/13 Rejected by Fordham. Not a huge surprise, but I'm glad it came on the same day as my first admit.

12/13 Hofstra Status change, "File with admissions committee."

12/17 Status date changed for American. Still says complete.

1/3 Rejected by University of Washington via email.

1/7 Accepted at Quinnipiac University with a scholarship! Details in the mail.

1/8 Waitlisted at Tulane

1/10 Received an email from Hofstra inviting "Daniel" to apply. Hope this doesn't mean Daniel got my decision.

1/13 Acceptance packet arrived with scholarship info for QU, $25K/yr Distinguished Scholar Award! Very nice handwritten note from the dean included with the acceptance letter. I'm also still in the running for the Dean's Fellowship, and I'll be notified soon if I get an interview!

1/14 Accepted to Hofstra University - email addressed to me, not Daniel :-)

1/15 $20,000/yr scholarship offer from Hofstra.

1/18 Letter from QU inviting me to interview for additional merit-based scholarships.

1/23 Email from W&L telling me my decision will be posted on the status checker today... Denied.

1/28 Wait list email from Cardozo. For those curious, the procedure is to reply via email within two weeks of receiving their decision. You can include any updates such as fall grades, new honors, etc. in your email. I will be emailing to take a place on the list!

1/29 Rejected by WUSTL via email.

1/29 Wow, $7500 scholarship offer from CUNY! Between in-state tuition and grants that will all but eliminate my tuition costs.

1/30 Admitted via status checker to SUNY Buffalo.

2/8 February LSAT.

2/18 Waitlisted at Brooklyn Law via status checker.

2/25 Waitlisted at Pitt Law via email.

2/28 Scholarship increased to $35,000/year at Quinnipiac University. Very nice handwritten note following up after my interview, as well as an emailed reply to my thank you email.

3/2 Feb LSAT score: 162

3/4 Submitted L'sOCI to all schools I haven't had decisions from and all schools where I'm waitlisted.

3/5 Accepted at Tulane with $20,000/yr, 3.0 GPA stip.

3/7 Accepted at Northeastern with $15,000/yr and a $2,000 co-op stipend!

3/10 $20,000 nonrenewable Dean's Scholar award at UConn Law. Waiting to see what kind of need-based grant I may receive.

3/12 Accepted off Cardozo's waitlist with $25,000/yr scholarship. First acceptance to come via phone call - very excited!

3/21 Admitted to Brooklyn!! No email yet, hoping for a nice scholarship so I can seriously consider attending. My mom went to BLS and I was so upset when I got Waitlisted. I wish I could tell her, she'd have been so proud. This is the best way to end the week...

3/21 Admitted to University of Pittsburgh via status checker, acceptance packet mailed.

3/22-23 Sent withdrawal notices to Quinnipiac University, SUNY Buffalo and Hofstra.

3/24 Accepted at American University. Email from Hofstra increasing my scholarship to cover all tuition and fees for 3 years - probably won't matter because stipulations are terrible.

Thanks Pattycake! I believe it remained complete the entire decision process, followed by a email stating a decision was rendered. I then checked status checker and it tells you the decision and it gives you a link to your acceptance and scholarship letter. I hope this helps and good luck !

Hey!

Patty Cake, Heard from Buffalo via email 12/14 (sent logon info) and last week received the packet in the mail. Saw you're waitlisted at Tulane. Good luck! I applied forever ago and have yet to hear anything... despite my boss being an influential alum who put in a good word :(

Good luck!

Congrats on the 2 acceptances already! Quinnipiac has a good reputation where I'm from. Quinnipiac and CUNY are both Tier 1 Top 150 law schools as of the 2014 US News World Report. Here is to many more acceptances! Waiting is not easy, however, it can be if you do it right.

Congrats

Sorry to hear about W&L

Goodluck on Cardozo's waitlist

Brooklyn
Saturday, June 30 2012 at 08:00 PM

Thanks! I'm definitely very excited about it, but still holding out for Northeastern. I see we both got waitlisted at Cardozo too!

Sunday, April 21 2013 at 05:43 PM

QU Interview
Wednesday, April 10 2013 at 08:34 PM

How quickly after your interview did they get back to you?

WHOA
Tuesday, July 09 2013 at 01:37 AM

You DID REALLY well on that FEB LSAT!!!! Northeastern emailed me (not personally) just like a picture email to let me know they didn't forget about my application and will give a decision as soon as possible LOL. Amazing job on that LSAT! Dang I bet Fordham is kicking itself now. HAHA! You got this! Northeastern is going to take you, you're in your prime! WOO!

Nice Job!
Wednesday, July 17 2013 at 07:25 PM

Congrats again on your score and also getting into Northeastern as well.

Thursday, October 24 2013 at 09:51 AM

you should wait and apply next year with your new score.

WOO!
Tuesday, July 09 2013 at 01:37 AM

Congratulations on your acceptance to Northeastern!

Tuesday, November 19 2013 at 07:31 PM

Loserslose, not sure what you mean - I updated my applications and I've been accepted with scholarships to plenty of schools I want to attend, including 2 of my very top choices. Koolcid74 thank you, I'm very excited!

Congrats
Saturday, June 30 2012 at 08:00 PM

On Northeastern and UConn! Are you leaning towards Northeastern? I'm thinking I may settle on Brooklyn.

Saturday, June 30 2012 at 08:00 PM

Yeah I definitely had my hopes up for Northeastern. You won't hate it. Boston is 2nd to none, and you can't beat a 10 minute walk to Fenway! I'm surprised you haven't gotten off the waitlist to Brooklyn with your new score. That doesn't add up.

Saturday, June 30 2012 at 08:00 PM

UConn isn't really a top choice of mine currently, but a scholarship offer may change that! I'm leaning towards Brooklyn or American right now. I got a decent grant award for both.

Sunday, April 21 2013 at 05:43 PM

wooo hooo Cardozo! Congrats! Where are you leaning?

W time!
Tuesday, July 09 2013 at 01:37 AM

Must feel great to Withdraw! 1st seat deposits due soon. I hope you make the right choice!

Got the UCONN Blues :-)
Wednesday, July 17 2013 at 07:25 PM

I hope so...it would be sooo much easier for me and cheaper too. I sent in my deposit last week to Quinnipiac and they have gotten all of the finance stuff mostly completed and sent to me. They are amazingly efficient. Are you psyched for UCONN?? I think you will really like the area.

Re: W time!
Tuesday, November 19 2013 at 07:31 PM

It's kind of nice to have decisions made, at least. I was really disappointed to withdraw from NUSL, but honestly I'm kind of glad I didn't have to choose... Narrowing it down now...

Re: Got the UCONN Blues :-)
Tuesday, November 19 2013 at 07:31 PM

Yeah, QU's admissions team is awesome. They put together a great visit for admitted students, too. I'm 90% sold on UConn, but I'm waiting for responses to a couple of scholarship increase requests from NY schools. It would be awesome to not make my family move, even if UConn is my first choice. Also, I forgot to list a school I haven't heard back from, adding it now. Hoping I hear back soon...

Wednesday, July 17 2013 at 07:25 PM

That's cool. More money saved is of course a huge factor. And saving the cost of the move and all the added stuff that goes along with it has to be a prime motivator as well. It's coming down to the wire :-) You'll know very shortly and I am sure your whole family is excited.

Tuesday, November 19 2013 at 07:31 PM

Ummmm... I think my husband will be glad to never have another conversation comparing law schools ever again... :-) He is actually pretty psyched about Hartford, and he applied for a job nearby that he's excited about. Like I said, 90% sold.

Friday, January 31 2014 at 10:07 PM

How did you hear about the scholarship for American? Are any of your schools above for a part-time program?

Sunday, September 08 2013 at 02:00 PM

Nice to see you here PattyCake. I'm DreamofNYC from Top Law Schools :)

Sunday, September 08 2013 at 02:00 PM

Congrats on your CUNY scholarship. We're both NY residents :)) Thanks for all your supportive comments so far :)

Sunday, September 08 2013 at 02:00 PM

I am leaning towards CUNY - has a strong immigration program. I have a private sector work background though, so I hope that doesn't look like I'm not interested or cannot be devoted to public service.

Saturday, June 30 2012 at 08:00 PM

So is UConn the winner?

Saturday, June 30 2012 at 08:00 PM

I got an extension from Brooklyn and Catholic due to an interview with Brooklyn for the Sparer Fellowship. I'm also still waiting on Seton Hall of course, so I think I'll make a deposit this week (dependent upon the results of my interview) then just wait out Seton Hall.

Sunday, September 08 2013 at 02:00 PM

Good luck with your decision! I'm leaning towards Brooklyn Law. We'll see. :)

still watching
Tuesday, September 03 2013 at 02:26 PM

even though I made my decision on pace , I'm still watching you ! good luck , looks like you are doing well.
