Baylor - (11/09/06) Received an e-mail informing of acceptance and scholarship a few days prior to a large envelope coming in the mail. The acceptance letter was the same as the e-mail except that it had a handwritten note from the dean on it. (01/05/07) Sent in my withdrawal.

Duke - (11/27/06) Received a large, blue folder in the mail that contained an acceptance letter which referenced my specific interests among other information. (12/15/06) Scholarship letter for $18,000 per year. I continue to receive weekly e-mails and occasional mail describing Duke Law's programs and upcoming events. My experience with Duke Law was very good. (4/2/07) Withdrew from Duke.

Georgetown - Received a small, thin envelope which contained an acceptance letter with a handwritten note from the dean of admissions. I continue to receive occasional correspondence concerning Georgetown's program and upcoming events. (04/16/07) Received financial aid package from Georgetown with no scholarship money. Withdrew the same day.

Michigan - Status checker went to decision a couple days before receiving a large envelope in the mail with an informational CD-ROM. Acceptance letter had a handwritten note at the bottom that specifically referenced my background. (3/25/07) Letter offering $10,000 per year scholarship.

Virginia - Received a phone call informing of acceptance on the same day that a small, thin envelope arrived in the mail. (4/2/07) Received a small envelope offering $11,000 per year.

Texas - (12/06/06) Received a small, somewhat thick envelope that contained a standardized acceptance letter and enrollment information. (12/11/06) Scholarship letter for $5000 per year. (3/28/07) Received a letter upping the scholarship offer to $7000 per year. (4/13/07) Withdrew from UT.

SMU - (12/21/06) Received a phone call from admissions office a couple days before the acceptance letter came in the mail. The acceptance letter came in a large packet with a folder full of information. (02-12-07) Scholarship letter for $33,000 per year. I have received a phone call from alumnus who congratulated me and offered to answer any questions, as well as occasional mail giving more information on the program. (03-11-07) Sent letter withdrawing from SMU.

Notre Dame - (01/25/07) Received a letter informing me I had been placed on the "Provisional List." About 2 minutes after reading the letter I withdrew from ND.

I can't believe ND waitlisted you. They have to be yield protecting like crazy. With similar numbers, I guess that doesn't bode well for me either. Good luck making your decision!

I have a weird background and that could be the reason for the waitlist at ND. Therefore, I dont think you should be expecting the same result.
