Additional info & updates

Let the waiting game begin....

Syracuse- Accepted...first response!!! Big package with a T-Shirt and Syracuse Law car sticker.

Florida Coastal- Accepted....didn't apply but its a nice offer. This was through E-mail.

American- Rejected...not a big suprise, life goes on. Small white envelope.

Penn State- Waitlisted...i thought they might reject me straight out, so this is ok. I will be updating my transcript with LSAC to include last semester grades. Small white envelope.

Albany- Accepted...some good news to start the week. Big letter containing a red folder with info on the school and city.

Pace- Accepted...they gave me a 10k/year scholarship a year. I'm very happy about this acceptance and scholarship. Came in a big white envelope.

New York Law School- Accepted...really happy about this. Came in a small white envelope.

Fordham- Rejected....Application status checker. This was really a long shot so its not a suprise.

Cardozo-Waitlisted....I'm in complete shock that they did not reject me. I will certainly be remaining on the waitlist as this is my number 1 school. Also, I will be asking for consideration to be admitted through the May program. Thin white envelope.

Buffalo- Waitlisted....a little disappointed on this one. This is now my 3rd waitlist. Thin white envelope.

Brooklyn- Rejected....eh, not the biggest suprise. After the Cardozo waitlist i was hoping for the same. Thin white envelope.

4-17 - Still waiting for St. John's and the Cardozo May program before i can make my final decision but as of now I am leaning towards Pace.

5-18- Waitlisted at St. John's. I am remaining on the waitlist because i do want to go here. Small, but fairly thick, white envelope.

At the end of this cycle, I am on four waitlists. I am remaining on all four and see what happens. For now, I am happy with my decision to go to Pace School of Law in the fall.

6-11: Accepted off the waitlist at Buffalo by phone call.

6-18: Accepted to St. John's by phone call!!! I am very happy about this and will probably attend in the fall.

6-24: Well, after a long application process that started in September with the LSAT, its finally over. In the fall I will be attending St. John's School of Law. This process definitely had its highs and lows. While my LSAT was very disappointing, I ended up in a school that has at least an LSAT average 6 points above mine. The moral of the story is that there is always hope and being waitlisted to a school is certainly not the end. Everybody who is going to law school in the fall I say good luck!!!

I wish you well with your application to the University at Buffalo Law School. I am a first year student there and the place is AMAZING ! All my profs are Ivy League law school grads (2 from Harvard Law, 1 from Cornell Law, and 1 from Yale Law--who also wrote our Criminal Law text !). And the tuition is fantastic...especially if you are a NYS resident !

Thanks for your note. I agree, the waiting game isn't much fun. My exams are almost over. I have a couple weeks off then come back in January for 3 week Bridge Term unique to University of Buffalo Law. This is the term when practical/'nuts and bolts' lawyering courses are offered. Happy Holidays !

Hey there. We have similar numbers. I'm hoping my LSAT score will bring me up atleast a few points. Good luck this cycle. I'll be keeping an eye on how you do.

What a nice message. Thanks so much. I agree that it sucks that my test score is outweighing my experience. If it doesn't work out this cycle, I'll just study and try again in a few years. Good luck to you.

thanks

hey man we have semi-similar #'s and schools. Lucky with all those acceptances. I unfortunately have not had the same success. Weird how we both got W/L'ed @ Buffalo. Would you consider it?

hey! so i don't graduate until may 18th from my school... so the may program is basically out of the question unless they let me take those summer courses during the summer of '09. so i think im going to remain just on the regular wait list. what about you?

Wow congrats on your cycle. Things seem to be going very strongly for you, and I foresee good things on your horizon. I\'m going to go with the Seton Hall option.
