My application cycle:

1-18 Received my first acceptance via mail from FIU. Scholarship information should be coming soon. Not one of my top choices, but get in-state tuition and it's local so happy to have an acceptance.

1-21 Received financial aid package in mail from FIU, $10,000 per year scholarship, automatically renewed all 3 years with a 2.9 GPA. This is huge because they're giving me in-state tuition, and they emailed me saying I should apply because I may receive additional scholarships, which would cover the entire tuition for all 3 years.

1-30 Accepted via status checker to Buffalo. Says letter mailed, hopefully with financial info.

2-1 Received financial aid package in mail from Buffalo. An underwhelming $4000 a year automatically renewed. Contacted them to find out about other forms of aid, etc.

2-2 Rejection email from George Mason- my status hadn't been updated on their site at all, just an email notification.

2-6 Noticed a status updated by 1PM EST for UW saying "Decision." Received decision email at 5:05PM EST (killer wait) that said wait listed, disappointing. They do not make wait list decision until May which is a LONG time to wait.

2-9 File reviewed, no decision receached at University of Florida. Not sure what that will lead to.

2-13 Just received a call from Uni Tenessee Knox, congratulating me on an acceptance! Now just have to wait for financial info.

2-16 Status update says "in review" still for CUNY, yet mailings show Decision Letter mailed 2-17 (in the future apparently...) So we'll see.

2-17 Status update at CUNY now has a second update that says I've been admitted, and I have a username and password to login to admitted student site, and it says my official admission letter is in the mail. I'm waiting to see about assistantships/scholarships, but this is now high on my list, because I'm confident I want to do public interest law. I'm waiting to talk a little more from Buffalo and waiting on financial info from Tennessee, but will be withdrawing if the costs are too high.

2-18 Received a letter from Tennessee, just an official acceptance letter, no financial info.

2-21 Received official acceptance letter from CUNY, no financial info.
Also, Georgia status checker changed in Second Review, and received an email about the second review as well. Email states they try to make decisions by April 15- certainly hoping it's much sooner than that.

2-23 Accepted via phone call to University of Utah.

3-4 Received an email from Utah on a Sunday which was random, that said I got an entrance scholarship for the first semester that covers the cost of a required new laptop and $13000 toward tuition. The email stated I'll get a more detailed letter this week- curious to see if there's any more aid, because that's great for the first semester but need more for the other 2.5 years.

3-5 Talked with Utah- the scholarship is for only the first semester of the first year, and I'd have to apply for 2L/3L scholarships in the future. They're $40k cost, without anything guaranteed is daunting.

3-8 Talked with Buffalo- negotiated the scholarship up $2000 a year, and an application for a research position for $3700 a year
-Also, got a letter from FIU, additional $5000 a year in funding, totaling $15000 a year.

3-19 Withdrew from Tennessee and Utah. Ineligible for any need-based or additional aid because of the "sizable $15k" a year. Not willing to pay that much for the first year and then pay who knows what for 2nd and 3rd. Withdrew at Tennessee because they offered be zilch besides not enough loans.

3-26 Rejected from Michigan via status update, as expected.

4-2 I was held at Georgia back in February, and finally got a rejection. I had sent a LOCI that I got a very nice response to, and had hoped I had a chance there- but just reassures my choice to go to FIU.

4-26 Waitlist letter via mail to UF.

5-9 Status checker changed to "Decision made" for Bama. No phone call like admits have gotten, and I read their status changed to admitted, so guessing a rejection or maybe a wait list. Letter's in the mail, so we'll see which it is.
Got a rejection email from UW.
Cycle's pretty much complete.

5-10 rejection from Bama. Cycle end. Few months until I move to Miami and start at FIU with full scholarship. Not a bad end.
