I was waiting for my LSAT retake and my BA graduation. Now I can focus solely on apps... Whew!
I think Texas Southern is in a large market and therefore has opportunities for the top of the class. Sometimes companies recruit at HBCU's to fill their quotas, and other times they simply have created a pipeline. These are the reasons that I suspect for the starting salary averages.
Texas southern in an "historically black" law school. It was originally founded as the first law school for African Americans. It might be a culture shock to a white person form Utah so keep that in mind
My status checker went to 'file in review' today. How long after your file went into review did it take to hear? Sorry, I'm just really nervous and ready to find out something! Thanks for any help!
The answer to your salary question about Texas Southern is that people REPORTED they made over 100k per year. There are probably a ton of people who made less than 100k but did not report it.
The stats are all self-reported. It's possible that only a fraction of the graduating class filled out the survey, leading to an inflated average salary. Very deceptive practice.
A small white envelope that was thick. I'm so confused that no one else on LSN has heard! It's not like I applied super early or had exceptional numbers...
Have you heard anything from UMKC? I applied in December and have tried to contact the admissions office to see if they received my application, but I have not heard a peep!! I'm not even sure they received the application. Let me know! Good luck on the rest of your cycle!
Good luck on your cycle, it's looking pretty good so far. We're applying to a lot of the same and our numbers are kind of close.
