Phone call today from J.D. saying I was FINALLY admitted to Texas Tech School of Law! I was at the gym and nearly fell off my machine haha. I had an interview Monday after sending in a LOCI and another LOR several weeks ago. Just shows that hard work, dedication, and determination pays off. Good luck to everyone who is still waiting to hear from their schools. I'm off to buy a Tech Law bumper sticker :) Cycle over.

Accepted to Texas Wesleyan today via status checker! I should be receiving my information packet within the next three days or so... hoping for a scholarship of some kind. Regardless, it's such a relief to have some sort of decision from every school I applied to. Now just have to keep waiting on Tech but at least I've been accepted to two good schools!

Well at least I got an acceptance before another rejection. Rejected at SMU today via snail mail. Again, expected. Oh well SMU I didn't want to go to you anyways, go Tech! Haha no worries, just one more to cross of the list. 4 down one to go.

FIRST ACCEPTANCE!! Received from STCL via email. Such a surprise- wasn't expecting them to start even reviewing files until late Feb. early March. I am officially going to law school. Such a relief. Now just have to get into the same place as my boyfriend and all will be well :)

Status checker at SMU changed today. It still says "Application Completed" but the date at the bottom changed to 1/27/10 and at the top it said:

"You may notice that your current status date has changed. This is either because some portion of your file has been updated or the initial review of your file has been completed. Neither of these situations change your early, regular, or late decision standing. We are unable to release decisions be phone or email. All decisions will be mailed".

So I'm expecting to hear Friday or beginning of next week. Likely a rejection, but just one more to cross off the list. Keep you updated.

Status checker at TxWes went to "Application Under Review" today. Hopefully that is a good sign and should hear soon!

Received my letter from Tech today via normal size envelope and status checker change to 'wait list'. Disappointed but I guess it could've been a rejection. Oh well, time to start the LOCI, LOR's and basically bugging them until they let me in :)

So as expected, I was rejected at UH via status checker. Good to get the first letter and rejection out of the way. Hurts a little but hoping to get a few acceptances within the next week or so to make up for it! Keep your fingers crossed :)

Changed accounts from TXLAWYER88 to this one. Something was wrong so I had to create a new one.

-UH status checker went from File in Review to Decision Rendered today! Hope to hear tomorrow or Saturday from them. First letter! Expecting rejection but it will be nice to get one out of the way.

Email from STCL with status checker info and saw that my application moved to complete. Was really excited until I went to the web site and saw at the bottom of the page that the admissions office will be closed until January...

-Talked to TX Wes today and they said that instead of 4-6 weeks to make a decision it would be more like 6-8, so in other words, I shouldn't expect to hear from them until after the break.

-TTU sent out a lot of letters today, sadly mine was not one of them. Hoping that's not a bad sign. Oh well, keeping my fingers crossed that I'll hear soon but VERY excited for those who should hear in the next couple of days!
