GW Rejection
Thursday, September 10 2015 at 10:28 AM

Did not get into GW. Surprising. Had similar stats and profile to someone in Wyoming who got in a few years ago. Oh well. Full ride still at Penn State and Northeastern, and 70-90% tuition scholarships elsewhere. That definitely softened the blow to being rejected from my top school (which would have kept my commute the same into DC every day).

Sorry about the rejection

It doesn't seem like anyone's really gotten into GW this year so far. They're just hammering out rejections. Keeping my fingers crossed for your other top school picks! :D

Tulane Acceptance
Thursday, September 10 2015 at 10:28 AM

Just as I grumble about not getting into GW, where I could have done a part time evening program across the street from my current job at the IMF or just keep the commute and go full time, I get an acceptance into Tulane! One door closes and another one opens. Lots of options available to me as I wait for the rest of my applications. GenericWit where are you hearing about the GW stats? Through this site or other forums?

Cycle

You should change your cycle to 2015-2016!

Saw it here. I check the school status updates daily and saw only rejections coming out at the time of your post. Seems they just started giving acceptances today! Sorry for not seeing this earlier. I click on my page more often than yours! ;)

G Town Rejection
Thursday, September 10 2015 at 10:28 AM

The letter said there were 8000 applicants for 580 slots. Not surprised to not get in.

Oh man, I expect to get a similar letter any day now. :( But congrats on your massive other scholarships. I mean WOW!

American Scholarship
Thursday, September 10 2015 at 10:28 AM

Got 60k from American. Thing is, I have a friend who chose American over Penn State full tuition and he is 200k in the hole looking for work in DC. He is the ghost of Christmas future for me in terms of saying no to debt...

Withdrawn
Thursday, September 10 2015 at 10:28 AM

Withdrew from a lot of schools. Now just deciding between Penn State, American, and Richmond.

Richmond called back
Thursday, September 10 2015 at 10:28 AM

After withdrawing as well, they still came back with a full tuition offer. Penn State is still my choice.
