Additional info & updates

8/15/16 - Final update. Along the way, I was accepted off the WL at UCLA, Chicago, Gtown, and Columbia. But really, UT is where my heart is. I had a great cycle, and I'm proud of it! Hope my info helps everyone in future cycles. Hook 'em!

6/28/16 - In at Cornell via phone call.

6/2/16 - Was offered a little bit of money from UT and decided that despite how cool it'd be to live in LA, I may as well be comfortable for law school, and I know Austin, so that's where I'm going.

5/26/16 - In a development that shocked nobody, I was kindly kicked off the waitlist by Harvard after sending no LOCIs/additional info.

4/15/16 - Got my scholarship at USC increased. I deposited and withdrew from Texas. I had a blast at my visit.

4/5/16 - In at University of Texas via phone call. Can't believe they plucked me off the waitlist this early.

3/31/16 - Waitlisted to Harvard via email.

3/29/16 - Waitlisted to Chicago via email. Also received $25,000/year scholarship from USC.

3/23/16 - In at USC via email. $2k/year increase from Notre Dame.

3/18/16 - Interview with Chicago went well. Application went under review 2.

3/15/16 - Additional 10k per year from Boston.

3/3/16 - Interview request from Chicago!

2/22/16 - Waitlisted to Columbia via email.

2/19/16 - Rejected from Duke via email.

2/18/16 - Waitlisted from Vanderbilt via email.

2/16/16 - Waitlisted from Cornell. That kind of hurts, but I figured since I withdrew from early decision that odds of admission weren't great.
On the bright side, I did get a letter in the mail from Notre Dame offering me $120,000 in scholarships.

2/5/16 - Received award letter from Boston University via email, offering me $75,000 total in merit scholarships.

2/1/16 - Rejected from Berkeley via email. :(

1/24/16 - Interviewed with Cornell. It couldn't have gone worse. I completely blew it. Stuttered and stumbled through every question and ran out of time.

1/22/16 - Invited to interview with Cornell.

1/21/16 - Waitlisted to Georgetown via email. Sad. :(

1/19/16 - Got my big envelope from Texas A&M and was offered a 100% tuition scholarship.

1/15/16 - Accepted to UC Hastings via email (that went to my spam folder) with $105,000 scholarship.

1/14/16 - Waitlisted from UCLA via email. A little bummed. Not a great week in my cycle.

1/12/16 - Waitlisted from University of Texas via email. I wanted to leave Texas, so I'm not terribly disappointed, but I am surprised considering it's where I got my nursing degree. I didn't submit any optional essays.

1/11/16 - Rejected from Penn via email. It was just a school I applied to because of the fee waiver, so I'm not terribly upset.
Second Committee Review at USC, on the bright side.

1/7/16 - Confirmation of acceptance to Notre Dame via email.

1/6/16 - Accepted at Notre Dame. It technically says, "a decision has been made," but I have two deadlines for seat deposits that weren't there before.

1/5/16 - Interviewed with Georgetown alumna. It went really well, I think.

12/23/16 - First Committee Review at USC.

12/21/15 - Accepted to Texas A&M via email.

12/14/15 - Accepted to SMU via applicant status page w/ $30k/year scholarship.
Accepted to UC Davis via email.

12/8/15 - Accepted to Boston University via phone call from Associate Director of Admissions.

12/3/15 - Invited to alumni interview for Georgetown.

11/23/15 - I emailed Cornell asking them to convert my application from ED to RD. Now that I've gotten into GWU, I kind of feel like I don't need to be so desperate to get into a school that I'll forgo all chances at scholarships. They were very kind in their reply to me. I also applied to Georgetown.

11/20/15 - Got a letter in the mail, offering me $20k/year for Arizona State.
Accepted via email to George Washington University.

11/12/15 - Got my packet from University of Colorado. In the letter, they offered me a full tuition scholarship.

11/5/15 - Accepted to University of Colorado - Boulder via email.
Accepted to Arizona State University via phone call from the Dean.

How did you get an additional 10K from Boston? Did you do the "tuition negotiation" If so how? Thanks for advice!

BU Scholarship

Congrats on all your acceptances! Did you negotiate with BU for the scholarship increase or they raised it on their own?

I did negotiate with Boston. Used leverage from Notre Dame. Which I then used to raise my Notre Dame scholly. Which I'm using to raise my USC scholly. PM for advice.

Impressive Cycle!

The massive scholarship from ND and the Columbia acceptance both seem especially enticing to me. Great selection of schools! You did the application process right. See ya in Austin.

Thank you!

Congratulations on your cycle last year and I hope you're enjoying your 1L year! I'm praying for a CLS W/L and then compete for a seat after the regular admission cycle. What did you do that you think helped get off the W/L?
