Do husbands count as children?
Wednesday, April 13 2005 at 08:00 PM

I like it! I hope you get into Dayton and OSU. If you haven't been for a tour, you should try to make one. They even have some on Saturdays. Dayton was a much better host than either UC or OSU. I was impressed by the students we spoke with. I didn't think it worth taking a prep course. At my age, I'm not going to go into serious debt to indulge my "midlife change", and I'm not likely to uproot the family. How's your husband taking all this?

More Childlike than the children

Yes, they definitely count. Sorry to all of the men out there - its probably just my controlling nature... UD has been sending me e:mails inviting me to visit. UD isn't as plausible for me to attend though. I live in Columbus and really can't think about moving. OSU is my top pick but if I need to keep working its going to be Capital (assuming I get in). Given the latter scenario, I'll probably try to apply for transfer after a year. I whole heartedly agree about the indulgence for my midlife change! That was great! I could do a lot around the house with $1200 - or a weekend trip to Cancun... How's he taking it - well...I make really good money now - maybe more than I'll make first year out of LS. I don't think he realizes that, he just sees it as potential for continued high paychecks? Probably not giving him enough credit. He'll deal. You got in to OSU, didn't you? Forgive me I started responding before I went back and looked. Best of luck to you as well!

Welcome to CA - now go home

Remember those bumper stickers? I grew up in Southern CA - born in San Mateo though. Not looking good at OSU, sorry to say. Not a word - not even with the committee yet, allegedly?

OSU Complete Date

I used the date they sent my complete letter in the mail. I couldn't believe I got a response that quickly either... Good luck!

Most likely going to Capital

Hi, Saw your question in my comments area. Hadn't checked for awhile since all the acceptances came in! Yes, I am most likely attending Capital. The choice now is between PT day or evening. How about you? Jay Baker

Oops...my fault

Hey! I feel a bit responsible for the "non-pro" Capital thread...as I was researching law schools I heard many different things about Capital from a variety of sources. As I've sorted thru all the feedback, I can say that if OSU takes a pass on me that I have no issues with going to Capital. Feel free to email me if you have any questions.

Capital question
Wednesday, April 13 2005 at 08:00 PM

I honestly know nothing about Capital. The relative who made the comment didn't elaborate at all. The more I learn about this "business", the more I feel that each of us is the only one who can decide what is right. Didn't mean to rock the boat...
