Update 1 - 9/27/06

- Terrible standardized test taker
- Retaking LSAT in OCT and possibly DEC after two catastrophic scores. Just hoping to break 160. (scored between 156- 161)
- Failed to qualify for fee waivers
- LSDAS report complete save transcript update (sent but not processed)
- currently working on PS
- Southwestern and PSU have sent me emails, brochures, don't know if that means anything. Still considering adding a few others to list.
- Applying Early to Baylor (apps for Spring/Summer/Fall)

- received a packet from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in SD. Offered a fee waiver if i apply.
- other news: felt i did ok on Lsat. not overly confident. had missteps on LG. will find out in a few weeks.

- decided to drop quite a few schools from the list (TJeff SD, Iowa, Chapman, Southwestern, Santa Clara, San Fran U, ) and added a few safeties. Hope it'll all work out.

10/14/06

- added AZ, Alabama. thought about Hawaii but read horrible things on xoxo which changed my mind. Southwestern keeps sending me stuff but don't want to go there so won't apply.
- finished PS. Poured my heart out.
- Working on finishing apps. FSU says i can attach an optional writing sample. Will send a final paper (EU law related) to all schools via attachment.
- waiting for test results getting unbearable. is this what retirees feel?

- finalized app list after calculating residency cost and debt projection. total app cost just under $1.9k. ouch.

- Disaster strikes again. A 154. Did great on RC, okay on LR and disastrous on LG. four years of hard work...

- Pleasantly surprised when George Mason and Washington & Lee waived app fees due to applying online
- the waiting begins, God's will be done.

- Praise the Lord! Just received an email that i've been admitted to Baylor's Spring 07 class! Unbelievable!

- Will attend Baylor starting in the Spring. Visiting Waco this week to find accomodations and sort out how i will pay for the school as i've yet to receive my admit package and don't even know what loans i can take out to pay the tuition. As soon as everything is confirmed i will withdraw from all other schools. I feel very overwhelmed by my acceptance and hope i can become the best lawyer i can be. I wish everyone the best of everything as you pursue a legal career. God Bless.

- after visiting Waco found the school and the people to be very good. a culture shock would be an understatement.
- just received a letter from Texas Tech offering me in state tuition + a scholarship of 1k for all 3 years as long as i remain in good standing. I felt honored to be awarded a scholarship considering my record and had i not been sure that God wants me to be at Baylor things might have turned out differently. I'll definitely always have a soft spot for Tech. It feels good to be wanted.

Thanks to all the well wishers. For some reason i'm still getting decisions from some schools even though i withdrew months ago. Just finished my first 5 weeks at BLS. If anyone has questions about the school don't hesitate to ask. Best of luck to all the applicants.

To Jaxon - I didn't care about the results from the other schools because i knew instantly that I'd be going to Baylor after i got in. It would've been pointless and unethical on my part to remain a candidate for the other schools just to inflate my ego when i knew exactly where i was going. At least that's how i saw it.
