Hey, I just wanted to wish you the best of luck. Retake the LSAT if your cycle doesnt go well. With that GPA you should not attand a school outside the top 20 or so. But if you retake in june, study your ass off and I'm sure you can break 160, maybe even 165 if you really put in the work. Then the law school world will be your oyster. Good luck again,

My numbers are fake obviously... I was in a similar (ok not really) posotion as you last year. and retook the lsats after some serious studying, improved em by a shitload. You are obviously smart with that GPA and have what it takes to work hard. Just see how things go, dont settle for to low a school, and retake in june so you can make the decision when you know where you might end up after this cycle.

Hey good luck with this cycle! It surely is a nerve-wrecking waiting game. I have a feeling that you should apply to a few more safety schools. UW is my top choice but I know it's a long reach. I'd be happy to go to any decent school on the west coast. Hope you get into your top choice though! And yeah don't lose hope!

Stay optimistic, I am sure at least a few schools will surprise you with acceptances as your soft factors seem like they can overcome the LSAT

When I first immigrated to the US, I lived in a rural/suburban community. Then, due to reasons beyond my control at the time, my family decided to relocate to LA. I never liked LA or any metro area. Traffic, crime, high cost of living, pollution, I am not fond of any of these aspects of an urban area. In short, I am not a big city person and prefer life in a rural or suburban area. That is great, did the deans personally invite you via phone / in-person. I just got a letter. Madison so far is my first choice, been getting some good news, so I thought I would go for some REACHES (nu, wash u, vandy). If i get into any of those I'll go!

With the risk of sounding like a stalker, I saw that the dean at Wisconsin invited you to visit. We have similar LSAT scores, and I too am very disappointed with my score. Did you contact the dean?

Waitlisting at American is an achievement in itself. Maybe things will work out.

Retake the LSAT. With a higher score, you could get into a top ten easily.

I am leaning that way, UF promised a decision by the end of March, so there is still a chance that it may change. If not I'm moving 1500 miles in early May! Good luck with the rest of the cycle.

I'm actually heading off-campus...I'm bringing my 10 year old yellow lab with me...and I'm sure UI would not be appreciative. Two years during undergrad was enough for me, and I nmanaged to find a place cheaper than the on campus stuff. Let me know when you decide, and good luck

Sorry about UCLA, I leave for Iowa in less than a week though I will give you a fair and honest evaluation. When do you have to commit?

Just a bit of an update...I have been here for a week and love the town. The law school is great and no more than 40 yards from the major gym on campus. I have the technology seminar in a few minutes and classes start on Monday, but its a good town; tons of ethnic cuisine, great farmers market, and the average Hi is in the mid 70s right now...plus...no forest fires! Hope all is well.
