Additional info & updates

well this is my second go at the LSAT (took February test). I actually did 1 point better last time. I just want to go SOMEWHERE! Although it's my fourth choice, I wouldn't mind going to Texas for the simple fact that in the end I would like to practice law in that area. I'm hoping that there are schools out there that look past the numbers b/c I have been seriously depressed about my scores. So far I have been accepted into the AAMPLE program at FCSL. Tuition for the two courses are too expensive for me right now so I decided to hang that up. Got rejected from Wayne State. I didn't really want to go here anyways; i just applied because it was free so I figured I had nothing to lose. But the rejection was to be expected because I acidentally put the wrong name of the school on my LSAT addendum. What a Goofball! Oh well, the rejection didn't hurt much. Just waiting on my other schools. My top 2 choices are where I would be equally happy to attend but I am aware that my numbers are too low realistically!

Just wondering, does anyone know how hard it is to transfer from a school like TSU to any of the other Texas law schools?

Hey - I actually withdrew from TSU. They haven't sent me any award letters yet.

Yes. It was $11,000 per semester and $22,000 per year. It could only be used for the fall and spring semesters. It was also renewable and I only needed to maintain a 2.0 gpa to get it renewed.

Sorry to hear about Indy. Did you apply for their special program?

Yes, I did let TSU and FCSL know I would not be attending... I think they knew anyways considering i missed both deposit days.

I think numbers and activity wise, you should be good to go at Central. One thing this application process has taught me is that good things come to those who wait! Hope to see you at Central in the fall!

I just got a waitlist letter from TSU...thats is definitely better than a rejection letter. I intended on applying to NCCU and I completely missed the deadline. I might regret that. Hopefully TSU or FAMU will come thru for me.

Still waiting

I would like to stay on the southeast. My top choice is USC so hopefully I can get in off the waitlist. You shouldn't have a problem getting in to TSU. I plan to withdraw if I get in to a decent school on the east coast. Hopefully you will be hearing something soon from TSU. Good luck!

TSU has been sending alot of email about updating your FA, but maybe thats a good thing. It means they are processing your paperwork. USC told me that they wouldn't do anything with my FA until I was accepted. Maybe the fact that they are asking for updates means that they expect you to be there this fall. If you haven't already,I have heard that a email or letter to admissions to let them know you would you are still interested and would accept an offer could be helpful.

That was one of the toughest decisions that I had to make. I went to WVU Admitted Students Day and they told me I could be a GA there and they will waive the entire tuition. It is easy to get a GA position at WVU. Since I will be doing CLEO, I am comfortable with working 15-20 hours a week in the fall and spring semesters of my 1L year. My decision then came down to quality of school and location, WVU won that battle. My top choices are William & Mary, Tennessee and Indiana. I really liked Tennessee so if I get off the waitlist, I will most likely go there. Good luck on ONU. It really is a great school and I really liked Dean Crago!
