Additional info & updates

All right - I want to hear odds from the masses if I have a chance at Columbia/Harvard. I think that Stanford and Yale are stretches, but I'd like to add this: last year I got waitlisted with a much lower LSAT, but who knows what that means.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Feb 5 - Mysterious "decision" posted on georgetown website...

Feb 7 Email complete from Stanford

Feb 8 Email complete from Harvard

Feb 9 Georgetown Acceptance in little beige letter - I'm going to be a lawyer! Woo!

Feb 11 - Called NYU and they told me they had gone complete "about a week ago"

It's March and I still haven't gone complete at Columbia or Yale...should I be worried? These would be my top choices.

March 6 - Email complete at yale, finally. Grumble.

March 7 - Email complete at U. Chicago - just waiting for Columbia to step up.

March 7 - ok, just got the email at Columbia. But still. Near 2 months? dang.

March 23 - Waitlisted at Cornell. Not too happy about what this means for the other schools.

April 9 - Email from Hastings telling me about the next Admitted Students Weekend. Strange.

April 14 - Yale ding in the mail. Boo.

April 23 - Called Harvard and they said that a decision is in the mail...I'm not optimistic

I think that someone new to the site might initially despair. Good luck with your cycle, it looks like you will have some great choices to make.

Thanks!

I never found out when I went complete at NYU, just got a package in the mail. Your numbers look great, I'm sure you'll hear more good news soon. Congrats on Gtown!

I'm just worried because I don't have a particularly difficult major, and my GPA within the major is lower still. Is this a serious issue?

Hi - Thanks for the congrats! I was shocked to have gotten off the WL - but very excited. I've decided to stick with Stanford for personal reasons - so have withdrawn. Best of luck to you with everything!

columbia question

Hey there. In response to your question, I got admitted off of the deferred admission. I did however write them a nice letter and got admitted right after that. Show them you care and it might work for waitlist too.
