Extra Curricular Information

blogging about me law school experience and other things...check it out!

Additional info & updates

1/15 - Sent a desire to attend letter to TSU, hopefully this will give me an extra push into acceptance..

1/20 - Received a snail mail letter from Washburn...waitlisted. Not really bummed, I only applied because I had a fee waiver. Even if accepted; there is .001% chance that I would go. But its still nice not to be flat out rejected.

1/23 - Rejected at Chapman. Not really surprised...oh well. On to the next..

1/25 - Drexel rejected me almost 3 weeks ago via status checker. I barely got the official letter today...slowpokes

1/28 - Accepted via snail mail at Thomas Jefferson. Rejected via email at Case Western...not really surprised. Received a cute little hand written postcard from a 3L at Jones School of Law.

1/29 - Accepted via phone call at John Marshall-Atlanta. She called at 11:30am their time which is 8:30am my time...so needless to say it was quite the pleasant wake up call.

Also, Western State status checker changed to "decision rendered" as of yesterday...so hopefully I'll get the letter tomorrow or Monday.

2/3 - Wailisted at Whittier via email. I plan on sending a desire to attend letter to hopefully give my application a little something extra. I'm not particularly interested in going there, but I do want as many in-state options as possible.

Got my letter from Western State..rejected...meh. I was indifferent..

2/4 - Rejected at California Western via snail mail. I'm not really bummed that I didn't get into to that specific school but I am kinda bummed that my instate options are dwindling...

2/5 - Received the official letter from John Marshall today...that's all...pretty boring day as far as law school goes

Update: Just checked my status checkers & found out I was accepted to Charlotte Law school...and waitlisted at OCU...turns out today was more eventful than I thought.

2/6 - Rejected at La Verne via snail mail...bummed only because I want more instate options

2/11 - Got a snail mail letter from Thomas Jefferson with a $42,000 scholarship over 3 years! Pretty stoked...

Also, got the official waitlist letter from Oklahoma, I only applied because it was free...but I have no interest in attending so I'm gonna withdrawal my app...hopefully that opens up a waitlist spot for someone who actually wants to attend.

2/12 - Accepted via snail mail at Phoenix, with a $2000 a year book scholarship. Rejected via snail mail at USF. Man, California schools are not fond of me...

2/17 - Waitlisted at Hofstra via status checker. I'm actually really surprised, I thought it would be a strait up rejection. It's nice to have the possibility of cracking the Top 100....especially with my numbers.

Also, Baylor's decision has been mailed. Notified via status checker...let's see what happens. I don't have high hopes for this one...

2/18 - Rejected at Baylor via snail mail...very expected...no shock here

2/21 - Withdrew from OCU & Cooley...I won't be going to either of these schools...hopefully someone else gets the open spots

2/22 - Accepted at Widener (Harrisburg, PA campus) via email & status checker

Also, rejected at UOP & WL...bummed about UOP...don't really care about WL.

Today was a busy day as far as admissions decisions go....my cycle is almost over! just a few more schools to go!

2/24 - Sent continued interest letters to Whittier & Hofstra.

2/25 - Accepted at Southern University via snail mail..pretty cool since they have dirty cheap tuition..

3/1 - Rejected at Howard via email...pretty bummed...I actually wanted to go there....its looking more and more likely that I'll be going to law school in San Diego...meh

3/12 - No news for almost 2 weeks. Well Southwestern broke the dry spell with a waitlist via status checker. I would definitely be interested in going there...so I'm happy it wasn't a straight up rejection. I plan on writing a letter of continued interest.

3/26 - Accepted to Whittier's Hochner program via email. I'm not sure how I feel about it :/ Anyone else considering it?

4/25 - Haven't updated in a while. Rejected at USD, waitlisted at Florida Coastal, & sent continued interest letter to Southwestern. Also, submitted seat deposit to Thomas Jefferson; but if Southwestern comes through then I may withdraw it.

6/1 - 90% chance I'm going to Thomas Jefferson...still waiting to hear back from Southwestern though :(

6/16 - Southwestern is taking tooo long with this waitlist business & they probably wont give me as much money as TJ...sooooo looks like I'll be in San Diego !

yeah I like both barry and st thomas.. I also just put in my app to cooley.. so that I should at least have a for sure option. I've heard all the crazy things about cooley, but i like the flexibility of it.

Yes, I did enjoy myself too much as a kid! I suppose I was a "minor threat." It, however, is related to some F-ed childhood stuff, which made for a compelling essay. Needless to say, I'm a bit bummed out, especially after creating my profile... Funny, I am filling out apps for schools I'll never attend. Probably to boost my fragile ego!

you give me hope for Thomas Jefferson School of Law ... San Diego would be a great place to spend three years. Or just one and transfer.
