Was your notification from USD snail? Any indication of scholarship? I've figured they don't have any money left at this point.

Acceptance came in the mail, in a large white envelope. It came with a financial aid application but it made no mention of a scholarship. I hope that they still have money left at this point.

Stipend and a laptop? I'm jealous. Who did you get the email from? Don't worry, I'm not going to stalk them and demand my own laptop after seeing another scholarship winner get one on LSN; just curious.

I visited on Tuesday, sent an email to Dean Randall on Wednesday asking if they had special loans or if they can extra money in my cost of attendance so I can buy a laptop from student loans. About an hour later Asst. Dean Reeves sent me the email.

Oohh...nicely done. I actually was curious about increasing student loans to cover a laptop. Silly me though asked the (quite mean) people at FINAID. In fact, I'd even be happy with an increased federal loan!

Congrats to you as well. I guess we are in the same boat when it comes to moving. Have you had a chance to look at Tuscaloosa housing yet?
