Fee waivers Michigan, Duke, Vanderbilt, Cornell and at least a dozen second tier schools. I have a lot of soft factors.

Broke down and called Boalt for confirmation of the obvious. Sigh.

Michigan rejection

I noticed your question in someone else's profile about how the Michigan rejection comes and I thought I'd let you know it's just a thin envelope. Acceptances come in big packets.

But you've got good numbers for Umich.

Sorry about Boalt. I'm trying so hard NOT to call them....but I really want to. Were they happy to tell you via phone, or did you have to get pushy? My fear is somehow they won't have made a decision yet and then I'll ask and they'll be like "Well, we certainly don't want this punk, so the answer is now: REJECTED." I'm a wuss.

I called.

And my answer has been mailed, which means I am sadly not with you in the deferred pile. Good luck though.

Out of the schools that already accepted you, do you have any first-round picks? I just curious since I know some schools have sent out deferrment letters to students (like me, with regards to UT) and those schools are waiting for other students to accept or decline their offers.

I'm also on hold at UChicago. Did you send anything else in? Are you going to wait it out? Congrats on Cornell too, I'm going to the admitted students day next week. Woo Ithaca!
