I think it was predicated on two things. I'm 30, so I've put my undergrad stupidity behind me, and second, I was in the army for years and did time in Iraq as a paralegal. Good luck. Loyola acceptance was a shock to me. I'm curious about Michigan State, they seem to be a wildcard. You should check out Southern Illinois, and Washburn in my mind, you'd fit well into their numbers

Thanks and Good Luck

Hey ..Snail mail is just regular mail . I got the dreaded thin white envelope lol

wait listed.
Monday, August 16 2004 at 08:00 PM

On friday I came home from a long and bad day and had the notorious small envelope from MSU and I figured it was rejection but noticed it had 2-3 pages. Explained I was not accepted but have some worth so I am wait-listed. If I'd like to submit supplemental essay, and anything else that will help me if any spots open up. I think there might have been a mistake anyways because they inquired which program I desired to be in (full day, or part evening) and I can only do part evening... So sending back my response of essay and 'part evening' hopefully some slots open up and I can contemplate attending. Best of luck to you, is MSU one of your higher choices? Valpo wait-listed me out of probably anger, they accepted me last-minute in 2004 and I passed on them to get my master's...is Valpo in your top or a safety?

Thanks! They notified me by mail and email. I think you have a pretty good shot of getting in there.

the comeback.

I am sorry about MSU. I am fatalistic about getting off wait list so I predictively will presume it means I was rejected as well. Plus I have to obtain a day-time teaching job so I don't have the lassiez faire time to wait in may/june/july as they slowly rummage the wait list. I hope we both get into John Marshall, its definitely at the top I would love to move to Chicago... Luck to us both.

Exactly. I prefer accept/reject if possible because wait-list seems to be a fetish of admissions and I understand their burden but it just strings people along like a bad relationship. Yes been complete in JMLS since November and applied to part-time and yet not a word except a few weeks ago "we are reviewing your file". My options are still narrow (Thomas Cool & SLU probationary summer program) so JMLS or IUI would be nice to allow me some options. Keep me posted if you hear back from JMLS...

NIU

I wish I could say there was something that I did. But I didn't even call to verify that there waitlist procedure is correct (my ass they dont rank waitlisted apps). I'm pumped about the fact that I'll have a 1/3 of the debt the average JD graduate has. I was notified via phone by the dean of admissions, he told me that a letter was in the mail. My response was "really?!" and he said he would kid me when he sees me at the school, but not now. Really nice guy. So I'm excited. Best of luck!

Hey, Yeah i received a letter probably 2 months after i was put on the wait list basically stating that they have reached their quota in students that have been accepted and will not be accepting anymore students for this year. It was something along those like, but from what i hear it's usually a letter from the university.

thanks. I just withdrew from Valpo yesterday. Pretty set on NIU unless I get into SIU or JMLS then I\'ll have to reconsider. I cant turn down the lower cost, better job prospects for chicagoland, etc. Good luck, hope you get into NIU.

Congrats on NIU!
